Setup and Installation
The Livarno Home toilet seat is designed for easy installation on most standard toilets. Follow these steps for proper setup:
- Prepare the Toilet: Ensure the toilet bowl is clean and dry. Remove any old toilet seat and clean the mounting area thoroughly.
- Position the Hinges: Place the two hinge posts into the mounting holes on the toilet bowl. Ensure the rubber gaskets are correctly seated under the hinge posts.
- Secure the Hinges: From underneath the toilet bowl, thread the nuts onto the bolts of the hinge posts. Hand-tighten them initially.
- Attach the Seat: Align the quick-release mechanism on the underside of the toilet seat with the hinge posts. Press down firmly until you hear a "click," indicating the seat is securely locked onto the hinges.
- Adjust and Tighten: With the seat attached, adjust its position on the toilet bowl to ensure it is centered and aligned. Once satisfied with the alignment, fully tighten the nuts from underneath the toilet bowl using an appropriate wrench. Do not overtighten.
- Test Soft-Close: Gently push the lid down to test the soft-close function. It should close slowly and silently.

Operating Instructions
Soft-Close Function:
The toilet seat is equipped with an integrated soft-close mechanism. To activate, simply push the lid or seat down gently. The mechanism will take over, allowing the lid and seat to close slowly and silently without slamming. Do not force the lid or seat down, as this can damage the soft-close mechanism.
Quick-Release (Easy-Click) Function:
For easy cleaning, the entire toilet seat can be quickly removed. Locate the two quick-release buttons or levers near the hinges on the underside of the seat. Press or lift these mechanisms simultaneously, then lift the seat straight up from the hinge posts. To reattach, align the seat with the hinge posts and press down until it clicks securely into place.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning will help maintain the appearance and longevity of your toilet seat. Use the quick-release function for thorough cleaning.
- Daily Cleaning: Wipe the seat and lid with a soft cloth dampened with water and a mild, non-abrasive soap.
- Deep Cleaning: Use the quick-release function to remove the seat. Clean the seat, lid, and hinge areas with a mild bathroom cleaner. Rinse thoroughly with water and dry with a soft cloth.
- Avoid: Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, strong acids, alkalis, or organic solvents (e.g., alcohol, acetone) as these can damage the plastic and stainless steel surfaces.
- Hinge Care: Periodically check the hinge connections for tightness. If they become loose, re-tighten the nuts underneath the toilet bowl.
