Assembly Instructions
Assembly typically requires two people and a Phillips head screwdriver. A cordless drill with a Phillips head bit is recommended for faster and easier assembly, especially for screws. Wood glue (not included) can be used for dowels for added stability, as noted in user feedback.
Step 1: Attach Feet to Base Panel
Identify the bottom panel. Attach the four adjustable feet to the designated corners on the underside of the panel using the provided screws.
Step 2: Assemble Side and Divider Panels
Carefully attach the side panels and the internal divider panel to the base panel using dowels and cam lock fasteners. Ensure the correct orientation of each panel. Tip: Some users find it easier to assemble these panels directly onto the base rather than pre-assembling them. If using wood glue for dowels, apply sparingly into the holes before inserting dowels.
Step 3: Install Back Panel
Slide the back panel into the grooves of the assembled side and divider panels. Ensure it fits snugly. If using glue, apply a thin bead along the grooves for extra rigidity.
Step 4: Attach Top Panel
Place the top panel onto the assembled structure, aligning the pre-drilled holes. Secure the top panel using cam bolts and cam locks. Ensure cam bolts are screwed into the underside of the top panel before aligning with cam locks in the side panels. Tip: Ensure the arrow on the cam lock points towards the cam bolt for proper engagement.
Step 5: Install Doors and Hinges
Attach the hinges to the doors and then to the main cabinet frame. Ensure the doors swing freely and align properly when closed. Install the door handles.
Step 6: Insert Cat Scratch Pad
Place the provided cat scratch pad into the designated open compartment of the enclosure.

Cat Entry and Exit

Using the Scratch Pad
The integrated scratch pad provides an additional amenity for your cat, helping to protect your furniture from scratching.
Maintenance
Cleaning
- For daily cleaning, wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- For spills or deeper cleaning, use a mild, pet-safe cleaning solution. Ensure the surface is dried thoroughly to prevent water damage to the wood veneer.
- Regularly clean the interior compartment to maintain hygiene and odor control.
Scratch Pad Replacement
The cat scratch pad is a consumable item. Replace it when it becomes worn out to ensure continued effectiveness and to encourage your cat to use it.
Troubleshooting
Wobbly or Unstable Enclosure
- Ensure all screws and cam lock fasteners are fully tightened.
- Check that the adjustable feet are evenly set on a flat surface. Adjust as needed.
- If dowels were not glued during assembly, consider disassembling and reassembling with wood glue for increased stability.
Doors Do Not Close Properly
- Check hinge alignment. Loosen and re-tighten hinge screws to adjust door position.
- Ensure the enclosure is on a level surface.
Cat Not Using Enclosure
- Allow your cat time to adjust to the new furniture.
- Place a familiar item (e.g., a toy or blanket) inside the enclosure to encourage exploration.
- Ensure the litter box inside is clean and accessible.
