This bonoch 1080p Add-on Baby Camera (Model BBM32) is designed to expand your existing bonoch BBM04 or BBM06 baby monitor system. It provides high-definition video, two-way audio, and various monitoring features to help you keep an eye on your child. This camera operates without Wi-Fi, ensuring a secure, local connection.

3. Setup

3.1 Compatibility

This add-on camera is ONLY compatible with bonoch BBM04 and BBM06 1080p baby monitors. It is not compatible with other bonoch models (e.g., BBM03, BBM05) or monitors from other brands. Ensure your existing monitor is a bonoch BBM04 or BBM06 model before attempting to pair.

3.2 Pairing the Camera

  1. Power on your bonoch BBM04 or BBM06 monitor unit.
  2. Connect the add-on camera to a power source using the provided USB-C cable and power adapter.
  3. On your monitor unit, navigate to the camera settings menu.
  4. Select the option to 'Add Camera' or 'Pair Camera'.
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process. This typically involves pressing a pairing button on the camera unit (if available) or waiting for automatic detection. The pairing process should take approximately 5 seconds.

3.3 Camera Placement

Position the camera in a location that provides a clear view of your baby's crib or play area. The camera can be placed on a flat surface, wall-mounted, or ceiling-mounted. Utilize the PTZ (Pan, Tilt, Zoom) functions and the included 110° wide-angle lens to achieve optimal coverage.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

Connect the camera to a power outlet using the provided adapter. The camera will automatically power on. To power off, disconnect the power adapter.

4.2 Pan, Tilt, and Zoom (PTZ)

Use the controls on your bonoch monitor unit to remotely adjust the camera's viewing angle. The camera supports 300° horizontal pan, 115° vertical tilt, and 4x digital zoom. This allows you to scan the entire room and focus on specific areas.

4.3 Night Vision

The camera automatically activates infrared night vision in low-light conditions, providing clear black-and-white video of your baby without disturbing their sleep. There are no visible red lights from the camera that could cause disturbance.

4.4 Local Storage and Recording

The camera supports local storage via a Micro SD card (not included). Insert a Micro SD card into the designated slot on the camera unit to enable recording. The system can automatically record footage, and once the storage capacity is reached, it will overwrite the oldest clips.

  • Auto Recording: The camera can be set to record continuously or based on motion/sound detection.
  • Manual Recording: You can initiate recording directly from the monitor unit.
  • Playback: Review recorded footage directly on your monitor unit. Separate folders are created for different recording modes to help locate specific moments.

4.5 Split-screen Display and Auto-Loop Mode

If you have multiple cameras connected, your monitor can display feeds from more than one camera.

  • Multiple Camera Scan Mode: Press the 'OK' button on your monitor for 3 seconds to activate this mode. The monitor will automatically cycle through real-time video from each connected camera in single-screen mode every 20 seconds.
  • Split-screen Mode: Press the 'Menu' button to enter split-screen mode, displaying multiple camera feeds simultaneously. Note: Split-screen mode does not automatically loop video.

4.6 Motion, Sound, and Temperature Detection

The smart system detects motion, sound, and temperature changes to alert you to potential issues.

  • Motion Alerts: Notifies you when movement is detected in the camera's view.
  • Crying Alerts: Alerts you to significant sound, such as your baby crying.
  • Temperature Alerts: Informs you if the room temperature goes outside a set range.

4.7 Two-Way Audio and Lullabies

Use the two-way audio feature to communicate with your baby. You can also play built-in lullabies to soothe your child.

  • Two-Way Talk: Press and hold the microphone button on your monitor to speak through the camera.
  • Lullabies: Select from 8 pre-programmed lullabies to play through the camera's speaker.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

  • Ensure the camera is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the camera body.
  • For the lens, use a lens cleaning cloth specifically designed for optics. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

5.2 Storage

  • Store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • If storing for an extended period, remove any Micro SD card.

6. Troubleshooting

  • The card may be full; older recordings will be overwritten automatically.
  • Try using a different, compatible Micro SD card.
