3. Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your SENIX High Wheel Trimmer. Refer to the video for visual guidance.

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully open the product box and remove all components. Verify that all parts listed in the packing list are present.

3.2 Handle Assembly

Attach the handle components to the main shaft. Ensure all bolts are securely tightened. The handle is designed to fold down for compact storage.

3.3 Cutting Head/Shield Assembly

Install the cutting head shield and ensure it is properly aligned and secured. The trimmer comes with a .155-inch line for heavy-duty use.

3.4 Adding Engine Oil and Fuel

Before first use, add the provided engine oil to the engine's oil fill hole. This is a 4-cycle engine, so no mixing of oil and gas is required. Fill the fuel tank with fresh, unleaded gasoline.

  • Locate the oil fill plug and remove it.
  • Carefully pour the engine oil into the oil fill hole until it reaches the recommended level.
  • Replace the oil fill plug securely.
  • Open the fuel cap and fill the tank with unleaded gasoline. Do not overfill.
  • Securely replace the fuel cap.

4. Operating Instructions

Familiarize yourself with the controls and starting procedure before operating the trimmer.

4.1 Starting the Engine

  1. Ensure the trimmer is on a flat, stable surface.
  2. Press the primer bulb 10 times until fuel is visible in the bulb.
  3. Engage the choke (if applicable, refer to engine diagram).
  4. Pull the starter rope firmly and steadily until the engine starts. Do not pull the rope to its full extension.
  5. Once the engine starts, gradually disengage the choke.

4.2 Operation

Hold the handle firmly with both hands. Walk slowly and steadily, allowing the trimmer to cut through the vegetation. Adjust the cutting height as needed using the 5-position lever.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your trimmer. Always turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire before performing maintenance.

5.1 Engine Maintenance

  • Oil Change: Check engine oil level before each use. Change oil regularly as per the engine manufacturer's recommendations (typically after the first 5 hours, then every 25-50 hours).
  • Air Filter: Inspect and clean the air filter regularly. Replace if damaged or excessively dirty.
  • Spark Plug: Inspect the spark plug annually. Clean or replace as needed.

5.2 Cutting Head Maintenance

  • Line Replacement: Replace the .155-inch trimmer line when it becomes worn or too short.
  • Cleaning: Regularly clean grass and debris from the cutting head and shield to prevent buildup and ensure proper function.

6. Troubleshooting
