1. Introduction

The MAX BR1 Mini Core is equipped with essential ports and indicators for efficient operation. It features three 10/100/1000M Ethernet LAN ports, with LAN port 3 configurable as a WAN port with an optional license. It includes a CAT-4 embedded cellular modem with redundant SIM slots for reliable cellular connectivity. The device is designed for security, intentionally omitting Wi-Fi and GPS interfaces to minimize potential attack surfaces.

4. Setup Instructions

  1. Insert SIM Card(s): Locate the SIM card slots on the device. Insert your activated cellular SIM card(s) into the designated slots. Ensure they are correctly seated.
  2. Attach Antennas: Connect the two provided LTE antennas to the SMA cellular antenna connectors labeled 'Main' and 'Aux' on the router. Hand-tighten them securely.
  3. Connect Power: Connect the 12V 2A 4-pin power supply to the 'DC IN' port on the router. Plug the power adapter into a suitable power outlet. The router will power on automatically.
  4. Initial Network Connection: Connect a computer or network device to one of the LAN ports (LAN 1, LAN 2, or LAN 3) using an Ethernet cable.
  5. Access Web Interface: Open a web browser on the connected computer and navigate to the router's default IP address (typically 192.168.50.1 or similar, refer to the label on the device for exact details). Log in using the default credentials (usually 'admin' for both username and password, change immediately after first login).
  6. Configure Cellular Connection: Follow the on-screen wizard or navigate to the cellular settings to configure your cellular connection. This may involve entering APN settings provided by your cellular carrier.
