2. Important Safety Instructions

• A fire may occur if toasters are covered or touching flammable material, including curtains, draperies, walls, and the like, when in operation.
• Do not attempt to dislodge food when toaster is plugged in.
• Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to “off,” then remove plug from wall outlet.

4. Setup

1. Unpack the toaster and remove all packaging materials.
2. Place the toaster on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials.
3. Ensure the crumb tray is properly inserted.
4. Plug the power cord into a 120V AC electrical outlet.
5. First Use (Burn-Off): Before toasting food for the first time, operate the toaster without bread on the highest setting (7) to burn off any manufacturing residues. A slight odor or smoke may be present; this is normal and will dissipate.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Toasting

1. Insert slices of bread, bagels, or waffles into the toasting slots.
2. Select your desired browning level using the Toast Shade Control Dial (1 for lightest, 7 for darkest).
3. Press the High-Lift Lever down until it locks into place. The toasting cycle will begin.
4. Once the selected browning level is reached, the toast will automatically pop up.
5. To stop the toasting cycle at any time, press the Cancel Button.

5.2 Special Functions

The toaster includes dedicated buttons for specific toasting needs:

• Defrost Function: Ideal for frozen bread. Insert the frozen bread, press the High-Lift Lever down, then press the Defrost Button. The toaster will automatically adjust the toasting time to first thaw and then toast the bread.
• Bagel Function: Perfect for bagels. Insert the bagel halves with the cut side facing inwards. Press the High-Lift Lever down, then press the Bagel Button. This function toasts the cut side of the bagel while gently warming the outer side.
• Cancel Function: Press the Cancel Button at any point during the toasting cycle to immediately stop operation and eject the food.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your toaster.

6.1 Crumb Tray Cleaning

1. Always unplug the toaster and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Pull out the removable crumb tray located at the bottom of the toaster.
3. Discard accumulated crumbs.
4. Wipe the crumb tray with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly before reinserting.
5. Ensure the crumb tray is fully inserted before using the toaster again.

6.2 Exterior Cleaning

• Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads.
