Setup

Initial Winding

Your Pagani Design PD1753 watch is equipped with an automatic mechanical movement (Japanese TMI NH35). It does not require batteries. For initial use or after the watch has stopped, it needs to be manually wound.

1. Unscrew the crown by turning it counter-clockwise until it springs free.
2. Turn the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times. This will provide sufficient power reserve to start the watch.
3. Push the crown back in and screw it down clockwise to ensure water resistance.

The watch will continue to wind automatically with the motion of your wrist while worn. If worn for less than 10 hours a day, manual winding may be necessary to maintain power.

Setting Time and Date

1. Unscrew the crown by turning it counter-clockwise.
2. To set the date: Pull the crown out to the first click position (Level 1). Turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise until the correct date is displayed. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can damage the movement.
3. To set the time: Pull the crown out to the second click position (Level 2). Turn the crown to move the hands clockwise until the correct time is displayed. Ensure the AM/PM is correctly set by observing if the date changes when passing midnight.
4. Once time and date are set, push the crown back in and screw it down clockwise firmly against the case to maintain water resistance.

Operating the Watch

Automatic Movement

The watch is powered by an automatic mechanical movement. It harnesses the natural motion of your wrist to wind the mainspring. When fully wound, it has a power reserve that allows it to run for a certain period (typically 36-40 hours) when not worn. Regular wear ensures continuous operation.

Water Resistance (100 Meters / 10 ATM)

This watch is water-resistant up to 100 meters (10 ATM), making it suitable for daily use, showering, swimming, and snorkeling. It is not recommended for scuba diving or high-impact water sports.

• Always ensure the crown is fully screwed down before any contact with water.
• Do not operate the crown or pushers (if present) while the watch is wet or submerged.
• Avoid exposing the watch to hot water or steam (e.g., hot showers, saunas, hot tubs), as this can compromise the seals.

Luminous Display

The watch features luminous hands and hour markers, allowing for time readability in low-light conditions. The luminescence charges when exposed to light.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For the stainless steel bracelet and case, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by drying. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

Troubleshooting

• Watch has stopped or is running slow:

  This is common for automatic watches if not worn regularly. Manually wind the watch by unscrewing the crown and turning it clockwise 30-40 times. Ensure you wear the watch for at least 8-10 hours daily for consistent power.

• Date changes at noon instead of midnight:

  This indicates the watch's internal AM/PM setting is incorrect. Pull the crown out to the time-setting position (Level 2) and advance the time by 12 hours. Then, reset the correct time.

• Condensation under the crystal:

  If you notice condensation, this may indicate a breach in water resistance. Immediately take the watch to a qualified watchmaker for inspection and repair to prevent damage to the movement.

• Crown does not screw down:

  Ensure the crown is pushed fully into the case before attempting to screw it down. Turn it gently clockwise. If it still doesn't screw down, do not force it, and seek professional assistance.
