Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Inspect: Check the clipper and accessories for any signs of damage. Do not use if damaged.
  3. Clean Blades: Before first use, clean the blades with the provided cleaning brush to remove any manufacturing residue.
  4. Lubricate Blades: Apply a few drops of the included lubricating oil to the blades. Turn the clipper on for a few seconds to distribute the oil evenly. Wipe off any excess oil.
  5. Select Attachment Comb: Choose the desired cutting guide (comb) based on the hair length you wish to achieve. The combs are marked with their respective lengths (1/8", 1/4", 3/8", 1/2").
  6. Attach Comb: Align the attachment comb with the clipper blade and firmly snap it into place. Ensure it is securely fastened before use.

Operating Instructions

  1. Prepare Hair: Ensure hair is clean, dry, and free of tangles. For best results, comb the hair in the direction of growth.
  2. Plug In: Insert the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet (120V, 60Hz).
  3. Turn On: Flip the power switch to the "ON" position. The clipper will begin to operate.
  4. Adjust Taper Lever: The taper lever allows for fine adjustments to cutting length without changing combs. Push the lever up for the shortest cut (000) and pull it down for a longer cut (1). Experiment to find the desired length.
  5. Begin Cutting: Hold the clipper firmly with the blade flat against the head. Move the clipper slowly against the direction of hair growth. Use overlapping strokes to ensure an even cut.
  6. Remove Hair: Periodically stop and brush away accumulated hair from the blades and comb to maintain cutting efficiency.
  7. Detailing: For outlining and detailing, remove the attachment comb and use the clipper's bare blade. Use caution as the bare blade provides a very close cut.
  8. Turn Off: Once finished, flip the power switch to the "OFF" position and unplug the clipper from the outlet.

Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your clipper.

  • Cleaning Blades: After each use, brush away loose hair from the blades using the cleaning brush. For a more thorough cleaning, you can remove the blade set (refer to manufacturer's instructions if applicable for blade removal, otherwise just brush thoroughly).
  • Oiling Blades: It is crucial to oil the blades regularly, ideally after every few uses or if the clipper starts to pull hair. Apply 2-3 drops of lubricating oil across the top of the blades and turn the clipper on for a few seconds to distribute. Wipe off any excess oil with a soft cloth. Do not use hair oil, grease, or any oil mixed with kerosene or any solvent, as these will evaporate and slow down the blades.
  • Storage: Store the clipper in a dry, cool place, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep the blade guard on the blades when not in use to protect them.
  • Cord Care: Do not wrap the cord around the clipper. Store the cord loosely to prevent damage.
