Setup and Plate Installation

The appliance features easily detachable plates for quick changes between cooking functions.

  1. Ensure the appliance is unplugged and cool before handling plates.
  2. To remove plates: Locate the release buttons on the side of the unit (Image 4). Press the buttons and gently lift the plates out.
  3. To install plates: Align the tabs on the plates with the slots in the main unit. Gently press down until the plates click securely into place. Ensure both top and bottom plates are correctly installed for the desired function.

Operating Instructions

  1. Preheating: Plug the appliance into a 110-120V power outlet. The red indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the unit is powered on. Allow the appliance to preheat until the green indicator light illuminates, indicating it is ready for cooking.
  2. Temperature Control: Use the dial on the front of the unit to select a temperature setting from 0 (off) to 5 (highest). Adjust according to your recipe and desired browning.
  3. Cooking:
    • Lightly grease the non-stick plates with cooking spray or butter if desired, though the non-stick coating generally prevents sticking.
    • Place your food (sandwich, waffle batter, meat, etc.) onto the bottom plate.
    • Close the lid and secure the cool-touch locking handle.
    • Cook for the recommended time or until desired doneness is achieved. The green light may cycle on and off during cooking to maintain temperature.
  4. After Cooking: Carefully open the lid using the cool-touch handle. Use a heat-resistant, non-metallic utensil to remove your cooked food.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your Yabano 3-in-1 maker.

  1. Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Cleaning Plates: The non-stick plates are removable and can be easily cleaned. Wipe off any residue with a damp cloth or sponge. For stubborn food particles, soak the plates in warm, soapy water before cleaning. The plates are also dishwasher safe for convenience.
  3. Cleaning Main Unit: Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Never immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
