4. Setup
- Positioning: Place the water system on a stable, level surface. For enhanced stability, the pump feet can be secured to the floor using screws. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
- Water Source Connection: Connect the suction hose from your alternative water source (well, reservoir) to the pump's inlet. Ensure this connection is airtight to prevent air intake, which can affect pump performance.
- Household System Connection: Connect the discharge hose to your household water system. The set includes 2 connection adapters for G1 pumps, one with a check valve. Ensure all connections are securely tightened and leak-free.
- Priming the Pump: Before initial operation, fill the pump housing with water through the separate filling opening until it overflows. This is crucial for the pump to create suction.
- Electrical Connection: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet is properly grounded and protected by a residual current device (RCD).

5. Operating Instructions
- Power On: Switch the appliance on using the easily accessible, splashproof on/off switch.
- Automatic Operation: The BP 4.900 Home will automatically start pumping water when there is a demand (e.g., when a tap is opened, a toilet is flushed, or a washing machine starts). It will automatically switch off once the demand ceases and the desired pressure is reached in the tank.
- Monitoring Pressure: The integrated pressure indicator allows you to monitor the system's pressure. The air valve can be opened to test the pressure in the compensation tank.
- Shutting Down: To turn off the system, simply switch the on/off switch to the 'off' position. For extended periods of non-use, disconnect the power plug.
6. Maintenance

- Regular Inspection: Periodically check all hoses and connections for leaks or damage. Tighten any loose connections.
