Setup Instructions
Unpacking and Placement:
- Carefully remove the projector screen from its packaging. Retain all packaging materials for future transport or storage.
- Place the screen's aluminum base on a flat, stable surface in your desired viewing location. Ensure there is sufficient space for the screen to rise and lower without obstruction.
- Position the screen to align with your projector's throw distance and angle. This screen is designed for standard (long) throw projectors and is not compatible with Ultra Short Throw (UST) projectors.
Power Connection:
- Connect the power cord to the screen's power input and then to a standard electrical outlet. No hardwiring is required.
Remote Control Setup:
- Insert the provided batteries into the RF (Radio Frequency) and IR (Infrared) remote controls.
- The screen is ready for operation with the remotes immediately after power connection.
USB Trigger Connection (Optional):
- For automatic synchronization with your projector's power cycle, connect the included USB trigger cable to the screen's USB trigger port and to a compatible USB port on your projector. The screen will automatically deploy when the projector is turned on and retract when it is turned off.

Operating Instructions
Using the Remote Controls:
- RF Remote Control: Offers omni-directional control, allowing operation from anywhere in the room without direct line-of-sight to the screen.
- IR Remote Control: Requires direct line-of-sight to the IR receiver on the screen's base for operation.
- Press the UP arrow button to raise the screen.
- Press the DOWN arrow button to lower the screen.
- Press the STOP button (usually a square or circle) to pause the screen at any desired height.
Using the Manual Switch:
- A manual control switch is located on the screen's base. Use this switch to raise, lower, or stop the screen if remote controls are unavailable or batteries are depleted.
Automatic Operation (with USB Trigger):
- If the USB trigger is connected, the screen will automatically deploy when your projector is powered on and retract when the projector is powered off.

Maintenance
Screen Surface Cleaning:
- To clean the CineGrey 4D screen surface, gently wipe with a soft, lint-free cloth dampened with water.
- For stubborn marks, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by wiping with a clean, damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals as these can damage the screen material.
- Avoid touching the screen surface directly with bare hands to prevent oil transfer.
Housing and Mechanism:
- Wipe the aluminum housing with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dust.
- Periodically check the power cord for any signs of damage.
- The internal motorized mechanism is designed for maintenance-free operation. Do not attempt to lubricate or disassemble the motor or scissor-backed risers.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Screen does not rise or lower. | No power; remote batteries dead; remote out of range/line-of-sight (IR). | Check power connection. Replace remote batteries. Use RF remote or manual switch. Ensure IR remote has clear path to receiver. |
| Screen stops mid-operation. | Obstruction; overheat protection activated. | Remove any obstructions. Allow screen to cool down if motor has been running continuously. |
| Image is dim or washed out. | Projector not compatible; excessive ambient light. | Ensure you are using a standard throw projector (not UST). Reduce ambient light in the room if possible. |
| Strong odor upon unboxing. | New product material odor. | This is normal and will dissipate after a few days in a well-ventilated area. |
| Screen surface is not flat. | Tab-tension system issue (unlikely with new product). | Ensure the screen is fully extended. If issues persist, contact customer support. |
