5. Setup

  1. Unpack and Inspect: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any damage.
  2. Assemble Fountain Head (Optional): If using the fountain function, attach the desired fountain head to the top of the fountain pole. Insert the fountain pole into the pump's outlet. Ensure it is securely fitted.
  3. Connect Hose (Optional for Pumping): If using the pump for water circulation without a fountain, connect a suitable hose to the water outlet.
  4. Placement: Place the entire unit into your pond, ensuring it is fully submerged. The unit should rest on a stable, level surface at the bottom of the pond. Ensure the power cord is routed safely and securely, avoiding kinks or damage.
  5. Power Connection: Connect the UL certified power cord to a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure a drip loop is formed to prevent water from traveling along the cord to the outlet.

6. Operating Instructions

  1. Power On: Once submerged and connected, the unit will begin operating. The UV-C lamp will also activate. You can check the UV lamp's operation through the observation window.
  2. Adjust Fountain Height: If using the fountain, adjust the height of the fountain tube as desired.
  3. Adjust Water Flow: Use the tee adjuster to control the water flow rate for either the fountain or the pumping outlet. This allows you to customize the water display or circulation intensity.
  4. Monitoring: Regularly observe the pond water clarity. The UV-C lamp and filtration system work continuously to maintain water quality.

7. Maintenance

IMPORTANT: Always disconnect the power supply before performing any maintenance.

  1. Regular Cleaning of Filter Sponges: The filter sponges should be cleaned regularly, typically every 2-4 weeks depending on pond conditions.
    • Unclip the safety buckles and open the unit cover.
    • Remove the filter sponges and rinse them thoroughly with pond water (not tap water, to preserve beneficial bacteria).
    • Clean the filter material box if necessary.
    • Reassemble the unit, ensuring the cover is securely clipped.

For detailed instructions on disassembly and cleaning, refer to the product's instructional materials or manufacturer's website.

  2. UV-C Lamp Replacement: The 13W UV-C lamp has an effective lifespan of approximately 8000 hours. When the lamp's effectiveness diminishes (indicated by reduced water clarity despite clean filters), it should be replaced.
    • Disconnect power.
    • Open the unit and carefully remove the UV-C lamp housing.
    • Replace the old lamp with a new 13W UV-C lamp. Handle new lamps by their ends to avoid touching the glass.
    • Reassemble and ensure all seals are correctly seated before submerging.
