5. Setup and Charging
5.1 Initial Charging
Before first use, the battery must be fully charged. The charging process typically takes 3-5 hours.
- Connect the 20V Battery Charger to a standard electrical outlet. The 'POWER ON' indicator light on the charger will illuminate.
- Slide the 20V MAX Lithium Ion Battery onto the charger base, ensuring it clicks securely into place.
- The 'BATTERY CHARGING' indicator light will illuminate, indicating that the battery is charging.
- Once charging is complete, the 'BATTERY FULLY CHARGED' indicator light will illuminate. Remove the battery from the charger.

6. Operating the Battery
6.1 Installing the Battery
To install the battery into a compatible AVID POWER 20V tool:
- Align the battery with the battery port on the tool.
- Slide the battery into the port until it clicks securely into place. Ensure the latches engage properly.
6.2 Removing the Battery
To remove the battery from a compatible AVID POWER 20V tool:
- Press and hold the battery release latches on the sides of the battery.
- Slide the battery out of the tool's battery port.
6.3 Checking Battery Level
The 20V MAX battery features an LED indicator to show its real-time capacity. Press the button on the battery to illuminate the LED lights, indicating the remaining charge.

7. Maintenance

- Cleaning: Keep the battery and charger terminals clean and free of dust and debris. Use a dry cloth to wipe surfaces.
- Storage: Store the battery and charger in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Avoid Moisture: Do not expose the battery or charger to water or rain.
8. Troubleshooting

- Battery Not Charging:
- Ensure the charger is properly plugged into a working outlet.
- Verify the battery is securely seated on the charger.
