4. Installation Guide

Follow these steps to replace the foot pad on your Ninebot ES2, ES3, or ES4 electric scooter.

4.1. Preparation

1. Park your scooter on a stable, flat surface.
2. Turn off the scooter and remove the key (if applicable).
3. Clean the surface of the existing foot pad and surrounding area to remove any dirt or debris.

4.2. Removing the Old Foot Pad

1. Carefully peel off the old foot pad from the scooter deck. You may need a plastic pry tool or a similar non-abrasive instrument to gently lift the edges.

4.3. Installing the New Foot Pad

2. Carefully peel off a small portion of the protective backing from one end of the new foot pad, exposing the adhesive.

3. Align the exposed adhesive portion with the corresponding area on the scooter deck. Press down firmly to secure it.
4. Slowly continue to peel off the remaining protective backing while simultaneously pressing the foot pad onto the scooter deck. Work from one end to the other, ensuring no air bubbles are trapped underneath.
5. Once fully applied, press firmly over the entire surface of the foot pad, paying extra attention to the edges, to ensure maximum adhesion.
6. Allow the adhesive to cure for at least 24 hours before riding the scooter. Avoid exposing the scooter to moisture during this curing period.

The foot pad provides a non-slip surface for improved grip and comfort during scooter operation. Ensure your feet are placed securely on the pad while riding.

  • Ensure the scooter deck surface was thoroughly cleaned and dry before installation. Any residue (dirt, grease, old adhesive) will prevent proper adhesion.
  • Apply firm, even pressure across the entire surface during installation.
  • Allow the recommended curing time (24 hours) before use.
• Edges Peeling:
  • Re-apply pressure to the peeling edges. If peeling persists, a small amount of strong adhesive designed for outdoor use may be applied carefully to the underside of the edge, then pressed firmly.
  • Consider replacing the foot pad if peeling is extensive or affects safety.
