3. Setup and Programming
The programming process requires access to your control panel and an existing, functional transmitter. It is crucial that your control panel is enabled for remote programming by an installer. If the following process does not work, professional assistance from a BFT recommended installer may be required.
The programming sequence must be followed sequentially and in rapid succession. Any pause in the process will cause the system to time out. Please read and familiarize yourself with the entire process before commencing.
Programming Steps:
- At the Control Panel: Ensure you are at the control panel (it does not need to be open). You will need at least one existing, functional transmitter already coded on the system.
- Initiate Programming on Existing Transmitter: Press and hold the top two buttons of the existing, functional transmitter for 2 seconds.
- Activate Existing Transmitter Button: Press and hold the functioning button (e.g., the button used to open the gate) on the front of the existing transmitter for 2 seconds.
- Program New Transmitter (Step 1): Press and hold the top two buttons of the new transmitter for 2 seconds.
- Program New Transmitter (Step 2): Press and hold the desired button on the new transmitter for 2 seconds.
Important: Repeat steps 4 and 5 for any additional new transmitters you wish to add to the system. Ensure there is no pause between operations to prevent the system from timing out.
After completing the programming for all new transmitters, wait for 20 seconds before attempting to use your new transmitter(s). This allows the control board to reset. Coding is now complete.
