1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the KALEVOL Weather Station Mini. This device is designed to provide comprehensive environmental information, including indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity, atmospheric pressure, weather forecasts, time, date, and moon phases. Its color display with adjustable backlight ensures clear readability, making it an essential tool for monitoring your environment.

Note: 2xAA batteries for the main unit and 2xAAA batteries for the wireless remote sensor are not included.

3. Product Overview and Features

The KALEVOL Weather Station Mini offers a variety of features designed for convenience and accuracy:

4. Setup Guide

4.1 Powering the Units

The main unit can be powered by the included DC adapter or 2xAA batteries (not included). The wireless remote sensor requires 2xAAA batteries (not included).

  1. Insert 2xAA batteries into the main unit, observing polarity.
  2. Alternatively, connect the DC power adapter to the main unit and plug it into a power outlet.
  3. Insert 2xAAA batteries into the wireless remote sensor, observing polarity.

4.2 Initial Pairing and Placement

For successful connection, ensure the main unit and sensor are placed close to each other during initial setup.

  1. Place the main unit and the wireless remote sensor together.
  2. Confirm that the two devices have successfully connected. The outdoor temperature and humidity readings should appear on the main unit's display.
  3. Once connected, place the wireless remote sensor outdoors in a sheltered location, away from direct sunlight and precipitation, to ensure accurate readings. The maximum transmission range is 200ft/60m.

4.3 Atomic Clock Synchronization

The weather station automatically calibrates the time via WWVB signal.

  • When plugged in or after a reset, the device will automatically search for the WWVB signal at 1:00 AM, 2:00 AM, and 3:00 AM.
  • During the search, the screen may turn dark for approximately 7 minutes. This is normal behavior.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Display Overview

The main display provides various pieces of information:

  • Top Section: Weather forecast, atmospheric pressure trend, and barometric pressure readings.
  • Middle Left: Indoor temperature and humidity, comfort indicator.
  • Middle Right: Outdoor temperature and humidity.
  • Bottom Section: Time, date, day of the week, and moon phase.

5.2 Adjusting Backlight

Press the Brightness Adjustment Button (often marked with a sun or light icon) on the main unit to cycle through the 4 adjustable backlight levels.

5.3 Setting Time and Alarm

Refer to the specific buttons on your device (e.g., SET/MODE, ALARM, +/-) for detailed time and alarm setting procedures. Typically, you will press and hold the SET/MODE button to enter setting mode, then use +/- to adjust values and SET/MODE to confirm and move to the next setting.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and accuracy of your KALEVOL Weather Station Mini, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the main unit and sensor with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in both units when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Ensure correct polarity.
  • Sensor Placement: Periodically check the outdoor sensor's placement to ensure it remains sheltered from direct elements and is within effective transmission range.
  • Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, remove all batteries to prevent leakage.

7. Troubleshooting

Time is incorrect.WWVB signal not received or incorrect time zone setting.Ensure main unit is in a location with good signal reception. Manually set time zone if needed. Allow time for automatic synchronization.
