Setup
1. Unpacking and Initial Placement
- Carefully remove all packaging materials from the coffee machine and milk jug.
- Place the coffee machine on a stable, flat surface away from water sources and heat.
2. Filling the Water Tank
- Remove the water tank from the back of the machine.
- Fill the tank with fresh, cold water up to the MAX level.
- Replace the water tank securely.
3. Adding Coffee Beans
- Open the coffee bean container lid on top of the machine.
- Pour fresh coffee beans into the container. Do not overfill.
- Close the lid securely.
4. First Use and Priming
- Plug the machine into a power outlet.
- Follow the on-screen prompts or indicator lights for initial priming. This usually involves dispensing hot water to clean the internal circuits.

Operating Instructions
1. Making Coffee from Beans
- Ensure the water tank is filled and coffee beans are in the hopper.
- Place a cup under the coffee spouts.
- Select your desired coffee strength using the dial and press the button for Espresso or Coffee. The machine will grind the beans and brew your coffee automatically.
2. Using Pre-Ground Coffee
- Open the pre-ground coffee funnel lid.
- Add one level scoop of pre-ground coffee. Do not add more than one scoop.
- Place a cup under the coffee spouts and select your desired coffee type.
3. Adjusting Coffee Strength and Volume
- Strength: Turn the coffee strength dial on the control panel to adjust the intensity of your coffee.
- Volume: For programmable drinks, press and hold the desired coffee button until the desired volume is reached, then release. The machine will remember this setting for future use.
4. Frothing Milk with the DLSC060 Milk Jug

- Fill the DLSC060 milk jug with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy) up to the desired level, typically 1/3 to 1/2 full.
- Position the milk frother steam wand into the milk jug, ensuring the tip is just below the surface of the milk.
- Press the steam button on the control panel. Wait for the machine to heat up.
- Turn the steam knob to release steam. Move the jug up and down gently to create foam.
- Once desired foam and temperature are reached, turn off the steam knob and remove the jug.
- Pour the frothed milk into your coffee.

Maintenance
1. Emptying the Coffee Grounds Container and Drip Tray
- The machine will indicate when the coffee grounds container needs to be emptied.
- Slide out the drip tray and coffee grounds container.
- Empty the grounds and rinse both components with water.
- Ensure they are dry before reinserting.
2. Cleaning the Brewing Unit
- Turn off the machine and unplug it.
- Open the service door and remove the brewing unit by pressing the two red release buttons.
- Rinse the brewing unit thoroughly under running water.
- Allow it to air dry completely before reinserting.
3. Cleaning the Milk Frother
- After each use, wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth.
- Periodically, remove the frother nozzle and rinse it under running water to clear any milk residue.
4. Descaling
- The machine will indicate when descaling is required.
- Use a DeLonghi descaler solution and follow the instructions provided with the descaler and in the machine's display.

Troubleshooting
- No Coffee Dispensed: Check if the water tank is full, coffee beans are present, and the brewing unit is correctly inserted.
- Weak Coffee: Adjust the coffee strength setting to a higher intensity. Ensure fresh beans are used.
- Milk Frother Not Working: Clean the steam wand and nozzle thoroughly to remove any blockages. Ensure the steam knob is fully open.
- Error Messages: Refer to the machine's display for specific error codes and consult the full user manual for detailed solutions.
