Setup and Basic Operation
Setting Time and Date
- Press the MODE button repeatedly until the time setting screen appears.
- Use the START/LAP and STOP/RESET buttons to adjust the flashing digits (hours, minutes, seconds).
- Press MODE to move to the next setting (e.g., date, year).
- Once all settings are correct, press SET/RECALL to exit the setting mode.
Indiglo Night-Light
To activate the Indiglo night-light, press the INDIGLO button located on the top right side of the watch. The display will illuminate for a few seconds, allowing visibility in low-light conditions.

Operating Modes
Your Timex Ironman watch features several modes accessible via the MODE button:
- Time Mode: Displays current time, day, and date.
- Chronograph Mode: Used for timing events. Press START/LAP to begin, STOP/RESET to pause/stop, and hold STOP/RESET to reset.
- Timer Mode: A countdown timer. Set the desired time and start the countdown.
- Alarm Mode: Set up to three daily alarms.
- Activity Tracker: This watch includes an activity tracker feature to monitor steps.
Water Resistance
This watch is water resistant up to 30 meters (100 feet). This rating means the watch is suitable for splashes, rain, or brief immersion in water. It is not recommended for swimming, diving, or prolonged water activities. Do not press any buttons while the watch is submerged in water.
Care and Maintenance
Cleaning
Regularly clean your watch with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the watch case or strap.
Battery Replacement
The watch uses 1 Lithium Metal battery (CR2032), which is included. When the display dims or functions become erratic, it may be time to replace the battery. Battery replacement should ideally be performed by a qualified technician to ensure water resistance is maintained.

- Display is dim or blank: The battery may be low or depleted. Replace the battery.
- Buttons are unresponsive: Ensure the watch is not in a locked mode. If the issue persists, a battery replacement or a soft reset (if applicable, refer to Timex support) might be needed.
- Incorrect time/date: Follow the 'Setting Time and Date' instructions to re-adjust.
- Activity tracker not counting steps accurately: Ensure the watch is worn securely on your wrist. Movement patterns can affect accuracy.
