3. Setup Guide

3.1 Physical Setup

3. Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the scanner's port and the other end to an available USB port on your computer.

3.2 Software Installation

The VK16 scanner is UVC compliant and driver-free, offering a plug-and-play experience. Simply connect it to your computer via the USB cable. It is compatible with Windows 7/8/8.1/10/XP and Mac operating systems.

4.1 Basic Scanning

Once the scanner is connected and the software is running, place your document or object on the scanning mat within the designated area. Use the 'One Click Scanning' feature in the software or press the external hand button to initiate a scan.

4.2 Continuous Scanning with Smart Page Turning Detection

The VK16 features automatic continuous scanning. When scanning books or multi-page documents, the device can detect when a page is turned and automatically trigger the next scan. This significantly improves efficiency, allowing you to scan multiple pages continuously without manual intervention for each scan.

Thanks to the sub-camera recording function, the OfficeCam software allows you to create interactive video tutorials by using your laptop webcam in conjunction with the scanner to record yourself teaching or presenting.
