This label details the model number (FX3GA-60MR-CM), input voltage (100-240VAC 50/60Hz), output specifications (30VDC/240VAC 2A), serial number, and CE/UL certifications. This provides critical electrical and identification information for the PLC series.

4. Setup

4.1 Mounting

The FX3GA-24MT-CM PLC can be mounted on a standard DIN rail or directly to a panel using screws. Ensure sufficient space around the unit for ventilation and wiring access.

  • DIN Rail Mounting: Attach the PLC to a 35mm DIN rail by hooking the top edge and pressing down until it clicks into place.
  • Panel Mounting: Use the mounting holes provided on the PLC chassis. Secure with appropriate screws (M4 recommended) to a stable surface.

4.2 Wiring

All wiring must be performed with the power disconnected. Use appropriate wire gauges for power and I/O connections.

  • Power Supply: Connect the AC power supply (100-240VAC, 50/60Hz) to the L (Line) and N (Neutral) terminals. Ensure the ground terminal is properly connected to earth ground.
  • Input Devices: Connect input devices (e.g., sensors, switches) to the input terminals labeled X0, X1, X2, etc. Refer to the PLC's wiring diagram for specific input configurations (sink/source).
  • Output Devices: Connect output devices (e.g., relays, contactors) to the output terminals labeled Y0, Y1, Y2, etc. The FX3GA-24MT-CM features transistor outputs. Ensure the load current does not exceed the specified output rating.
  • Communication Port: Connect a programming cable to the communication port for programming and monitoring.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On

  • After completing all wiring and safety checks, apply power to the PLC.
  • Observe the indicator lights. The POWER LED should illuminate. If a program is loaded and running, the RUN LED should also be lit.

5.2 Programming

The FX3GA-24MT-CM PLC is programmed using compatible software such as GX Works2 or GX Developer.

  • Install the appropriate programming software on your computer.
  • Connect your computer to the PLC's programming port using a suitable cable (e.g., USB-SC09).
  • Launch the programming software and establish communication with the PLC.
  • Create or open your control program (ladder logic).
  • Transfer the program to the PLC. Ensure the PLC is in STOP mode before writing a new program.
  • After successful transfer, switch the PLC to RUN mode to execute the program.

5.3 Monitoring

The programming software allows for real-time monitoring of the PLC's status, input/output states, and internal memory.

  • In the programming software, select the monitoring function.
  • Observe the status of inputs (X), outputs (Y), internal relays (M), data registers (D), and timers/counters.
  • Use monitoring to diagnose program execution and troubleshoot issues.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and reliable operation of your PLC.

  • Regular Inspection: Periodically inspect all wiring connections for tightness, corrosion, or signs of damage. Check for any loose components.
  • Cleaning: Keep the PLC and its surrounding area clean and free from dust, dirt, and moisture. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the casing or internal components.
  • Environmental Check: Ensure the operating environment remains within the specified temperature and humidity ranges. Excessive heat or moisture can lead to premature failure.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the official CKLICS website or contact your vendor for information on available firmware updates. Follow update instructions carefully.
