4. Setup & First Use

Before operating your ice maker for the first time, please follow these steps:

  1. Unpack and Position: Carefully remove the ice maker from its packaging. Place the unit upright on a flat, stable surface. It is crucial to keep the ice maker upright for at least 24 hours before its first use to allow the refrigerant to settle.
  2. Clean the Interior: Before adding water, clean the interior of the ice maker, including the ice basket and water reservoir, with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Fill Water Reservoir: Open the dust cover on top of the unit and pour potable water into the water reservoir. Ensure the water level does not exceed the MAX fill line. Using filtered water is recommended for optimal ice quality and to minimize mineral buildup.

5. Operating Instructions

Operating your EUHOMY ice maker is straightforward with its user-friendly digital controls.

  1. Power On: After filling the water reservoir, press the "ON/OFF" button on the control panel to start the ice making process.
  2. Adjust Ice Thickness: Use the "+" and "-" buttons to adjust the ice thickness. This setting influences the time it takes to form ice and the density of the cubes. Thicker ice generally takes longer to produce (e.g., 20 minutes for thick, 11 minutes for thin).
  3. Ice Production: The machine will begin producing ice. Each cycle generates 24 ice cubes. The first batch may take slightly longer.
  4. Ice Collection: Once ice is formed, it will drop into the removable ice basket. The machine will pause ice production when the ice basket is full or when the water level is low.
  5. Timer Function: To set a delayed start for ice production, press the "TIMER" button and use the "+" and "-" buttons to set the desired delay time (up to 8 hours).
