Setup
1. Charging the Battery
Insert the 1.5 Ah battery into the AL 1810 CV charger. The indicator light on the charger will show the charging status. Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use.
2. Inserting/Removing the Battery
- To Insert: Slide the charged battery pack into the base of the tool until it clicks into place.
- To Remove: Press the battery release button and pull the battery pack out.
3. Attaching Drill Bits or Screwdriver Bits
- Open the 13 mm keyless chuck by turning it counter-clockwise until the jaws are wide enough.
- Insert the desired drill bit or screwdriver bit into the chuck.
- Tighten the chuck by turning it clockwise until the bit is securely fastened. Ensure the bit is centered.

Operating Instructions
1. Selecting Operating Mode
The tool features a mode selector ring located behind the chuck. Rotate the ring to select:
- Screwdriving Mode: For driving screws. Adjust the torque ring to the desired setting (1-20) to prevent overtightening or damaging screw heads.
- Drilling Mode: For drilling in wood, metal, and plastic.
- Impact Drilling Mode: For drilling in masonry.
2. Selecting Speed
The two-speed gearbox allows you to select the appropriate speed for your task:
- Gear 1 (Low Speed, High Torque): Ideal for screwdriving and drilling large diameters. (0-430 min-1)
- Gear 2 (High Speed, Lower Torque): Suitable for fast drilling in wood or masonry. (430-1630 min-1)
3. Starting and Stopping
- To Start: Press the ON/OFF trigger switch. The integrated LED light will illuminate the work area.
- To Stop: Release the ON/OFF trigger switch.
4. Direction of Rotation
Use the forward/reverse switch to select the direction of rotation. For screwdriving, ensure the switch is set to the forward position (clockwise rotation). For removing screws, set it to reverse (counter-clockwise rotation).
