5. Installation Instructions
5.1. Before You Begin
- Turn off the main water supply to your kitchen.
- Clear the area under the sink for easy access.
- Ensure your sink has a standard 35mm diameter hole for faucet mounting. (Note: The faucet base is 37mm, minor adjustment to the sink hole may be required if it's exactly 35mm).
- Ensure you have an existing under-counter water filtration system if you plan to use the filtered water function.
5.2. Tools Required (Not Included)
- Adjustable Wrench
- Phillips Head Screwdriver
- Plumber's Putty or Silicone Sealant
- Bucket (for catching drips)
- Flashlight
5.3. Step-by-Step Installation
- Prepare the Faucet: Insert the hot, cold, and filtered water supply lines into the corresponding ports at the base of the faucet. Ensure they are hand-tightened securely.
- Mount the Faucet: Place the faucet body through the mounting hole in your sink or countertop. Ensure the rubber washer is positioned between the faucet base and the sink surface to prevent leaks.
- Secure the Faucet: From underneath the sink, slide the triangular mounting plate, then the metal washer, and finally the mounting nut onto the threaded pipe extending from the faucet base. Tighten the mounting nut firmly with an adjustable wrench to secure the faucet in place.
- Connect Water Supply Lines:
- Connect the hot water supply line (red marking) to your hot water shut-off valve.
- Connect the cold water supply line (blue marking) to your cold water shut-off valve.
- Connect the filtered water supply line to your under-counter water filtration system using the quick-connect adapter. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.
- Check for Leaks: Slowly turn on the main water supply. Check all connections for any signs of leaks. If leaks are detected, tighten the connections further.
- Flush the System: Open both the regular water handle and the filtered water handle to allow water to flow for a few minutes. This flushes out any debris from the new installation.

6. Operation
The FORIOUS BEKF61 faucet features two distinct handles for controlling water flow:
- Right Handle (Main Water): This handle controls the flow of regular hot and cold water. Move the handle forward for cold water and backward for hot water. Adjust the handle's position to achieve the desired temperature and flow rate.
- Left Handle (Filtered Water): This smaller handle controls the flow of filtered drinking water. Turn this handle to activate the filtered water spout.

7. Maintenance and Care
Proper care will ensure the longevity and appearance of your FORIOUS faucet:
- Cleaning: Clean the faucet regularly with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scouring pads, as these can damage the matte black finish.
- Aerator Maintenance: Periodically unscrew the aerators from both spouts and clean any mineral deposits or debris. This helps maintain optimal water flow.
- Filtered Water System: Follow the maintenance instructions for your specific under-counter water filtration system, including regular filter changes, to ensure clean drinking water.
- Leak Checks: Occasionally check under the sink for any signs of leaks around the connections. Tighten any loose connections as needed.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Low water flow | Clogged aerator; partially closed shut-off valve; low water pressure. | Clean aerator; ensure shut-off valves are fully open; check household water pressure. |
| Leaking at faucet base | Loose mounting nut; improperly seated rubber washer. | Tighten mounting nut; ensure rubber washer is correctly positioned. |
| Leaking from supply lines | Loose connections; damaged O-rings. | Tighten supply line connections; inspect and replace O-rings if damaged. |
| No filtered water | Filtered water line not connected; filter system off or clogged; filter needs replacement. | Verify filtered water line connection; check filter system status; replace filter as per system instructions. |
