Operating Instructions
Operating your CIARRA Portable Range Hood is simple:
- Power On/Off: Press the power button located on the unit to turn the range hood on or off.
- Adjust Fan Speed: The unit features two fan speeds. Press the power button repeatedly to cycle between low speed, high speed, and off.
- Optimal Use: For best results, ensure the range hood is positioned directly over the cooking area, with the air inlet facing the source of smoke and odors.
ATTENTION:
- • The cooking smoke will not disappear, but will be filtered by the range hood and discharged into the room. This appliance is designed to filter and reduce odors and grease, not to vent smoke outdoors.
- • The desktop range hood cannot be used with ceramic stovetops or gas stoves. It is intended for use with induction cooktops or similar appliances that do not produce open flames or excessive heat directly beneath the unit.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your range hood.
Filter Cleaning and Replacement
The multi-filtration system requires periodic cleaning and replacement:
- Grease Filter (AL125125): This filter traps grease particles. It should be cleaned regularly, ideally after each heavy use or weekly, depending on cooking frequency. The filter is detachable and can be washed with warm soapy water. Ensure it is completely dry before re-installing.
- Carbon Filters (CBCF008): These filters absorb odors. They are generally not washable and should be replaced every 3-6 months, or more frequently if strong odors persist.
- Polymer Filter: This filter works in conjunction with the carbon and grease filters. Clean as needed.
- HEPA Filter (Optional, CBCH008): If you choose to install an optional HEPA filter for enhanced air purification, follow the manufacturer's instructions for replacement. HEPA filters are typically not washable and need to be replaced periodically.
Oil Collection Cup
The large oil collection cup gathers condensed grease and moisture. It should be emptied and cleaned regularly to prevent overflow and maintain hygiene.
- To remove, gently pull the cup from its slot at the base of the unit.
- Empty the contents and wash the cup with warm soapy water.
- Ensure the cup is completely dry before re-inserting it into the unit.
Exterior Cleaning
Wipe the exterior of the range hood with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the matte sandblasted finish.
