1. Introduction

The BL1504 is an original 1500 mAh Lithium-Ion battery designed specifically for Hytera PD506 and PD606 series two-way radios, ensuring reliable power for your communication needs.

3. Product Overview

The Hytera BL1504 is a genuine Lithium-Ion battery pack designed for optimal performance with Hytera PD506 and PD606 series radios. It provides a stable power supply with a capacity of 1500 mAh.

4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the battery. This helps to calibrate the battery and ensure optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Connect your Hytera radio charger to a power source.
  2. Insert the BL1504 battery into the charging slot. Ensure the contacts align properly.
  3. Observe the charger's indicator light. It typically turns red during charging and green when fully charged.
  4. Allow the battery to charge until the indicator shows a full charge (approximately 3-4 hours for a completely depleted battery).

4.2 Installing the Battery into the Radio

To install the BL1504 battery into your Hytera PD506 or PD606 series radio:

  1. Ensure the radio is turned off.
  2. Align the battery with the battery compartment on the back of the radio. The contacts on the battery should align with the terminals in the radio.
  3. Gently slide the battery into place until it clicks securely. Ensure the battery latch is engaged to prevent accidental detachment.

5. Operation

5.1 Daily Use

Once installed, the battery powers your Hytera radio. Monitor the radio's battery level indicator to know when recharging is necessary. For optimal battery life, avoid completely draining the battery before recharging, though occasional full discharge and recharge cycles can help maintain accuracy of the battery meter.

5.2 Recharging

When the radio indicates low battery, or before extended periods of use, recharge the battery using an approved Hytera charger. Follow the same steps as initial charging (Section 4.1).

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

Periodically inspect the battery contacts and the radio's terminals for dirt or corrosion. Clean them gently with a clean, dry cloth or a cotton swab. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

6.2 Storage

If the battery will not be used for an extended period (more than one month), store it in a cool, dry place, ideally at room temperature (20-25°C or 68-77°F). It is recommended to store Li-Ion batteries with approximately 50% charge to preserve their lifespan. Avoid storing fully charged or fully depleted batteries for long periods.
