Carefully remove the dehumidifier and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.

Placement:

Place the dehumidifier on a flat, stable surface in the desired area. Ensure there is at least 8 inches (20 cm) of space around the unit for proper airflow. For best results, keep windows and doors closed in the room where the dehumidifier is operating to prevent outside moist air from entering.

Power Connection:

Plug the 3-prong grounded power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. Ensure the voltage matches the unit's requirements.

Drainage Options:

The VG380 offers two convenient ways to manage collected water:

  • Manual Drainage: The unit will collect water in its 2-liter removable water tank. When the tank is full, the dehumidifier will automatically shut off, and an indicator light will illuminate to remind you to empty the tank. Simply pull out the tank, empty it, and slide it back into place.
  • Continuous Drainage: For hands-free operation, attach the included drain hose to the designated outlet on the back of the unit. Route the hose to a floor drain or a larger container, ensuring the hose is not kinked or elevated above the unit to allow for smooth gravity drainage.
Two drainage options for the dehumidifier: manual bucket and continuous hose.

4. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the efficiency and longevity of your dehumidifier.

Water Tank:

If using manual drainage, empty the water tank regularly. The unit will automatically shut off when the tank is full. Clean the tank periodically with mild soap and water to prevent mold and mildew buildup.

Automatic Defrost:

The unit features an automatic defrost function that activates when frost builds up on the evaporator coils, ensuring efficient operation even in cooler temperatures.
