6. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
No display/Black screen
  • HDMI cable not connected properly.
  • Insufficient power supply.
  • Incorrect input source selected on the host device.
  • Ensure HDMI cable is securely connected to both the monitor and the host device.
  • Verify the USB power connection. If using a Raspberry Pi, ensure the Pi's power supply is adequate. Consider external power for the monitor if issues persist.
  • Check your host device's display settings to ensure output is directed to the monitor.
Touch function not working
  • USB cable for touch not connected.
  • Operating system does not support touch (e.g., macOS).
  • Driver issue (rare, as it's usually driver-free).
  • Ensure the USB cable is connected from the monitor to the host device.
  • Confirm your operating system is supported for touch functionality (e.g., Windows, Linux distributions for Pi).
  • For Raspberry Pi, ensure the OS image is configured correctly for touch.
Image blurry or incorrect resolution
  • Host device outputting a non-native resolution.
  • Scaling issues.
  • Set the host device's display resolution to the monitor's native 1024x600.
  • If a higher resolution (up to 1920x1080) is desired, configure it via software settings on your host device.
  • Adjust display scaling settings on your operating system.
Screen turns off/on intermittently
  • Insufficient power supply.
  • Faulty cable.
  • Ensure the monitor is receiving adequate power. If powered via USB from a mini PC, ensure the mini PC's power supply is robust. Consider using an external power source for the monitor if available.
  • Try replacing the HDMI or USB cable.
