Setup and Installation
The XPOtool V60 mailbox is designed for wall mounting. Follow these steps for secure installation:
- Choose a Location: Select a suitable wall location that is easily accessible for mail delivery and retrieval, and protected from direct heavy rain if possible.
- Mark Drilling Points: Hold the mailbox against the wall at the desired height. Use a pencil to mark the four drilling points on the back of the mailbox. Refer to the dimensions diagram for precise measurements.
- Drill Holes: Using an appropriate drill bit for your wall type (e.g., masonry bit for brick/concrete), drill holes at the marked points. The depth should accommodate the wall anchors.
- Insert Wall Anchors: Insert the provided wall anchors into the drilled holes.
- Mount the Mailbox: Align the mailbox with the wall anchors. Insert the screws through the mounting holes on the back of the mailbox and into the wall anchors. Tighten the screws securely. You may use the rubber spacers between the mailbox and the wall if desired for slight clearance or to protect the wall surface.
- Test Stability: Gently pull on the mailbox to ensure it is firmly attached to the wall.

Using the Newspaper Compartment
The mailbox includes a separate compartment at the bottom, specifically designed for newspapers and magazines. This keeps them dry and prevents them from being crammed into the main mail slot.
Simply slide newspapers or larger periodicals into this open compartment.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the mailbox regularly with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and dirt. For stubborn marks, a mild soap solution can be used. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a clean cloth.
- Avoid Abrasives: Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the powder-coated finish and stainless steel.
- Lock Care: Periodically apply a small amount of graphite lubricant or a silicone-based spray to the lock mechanism to ensure smooth operation.
- Inspection: Periodically check the mounting screws to ensure they remain tight and secure.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Mailbox feels loose on the wall. | Mounting screws are loose or wall anchors are not secure. | Tighten mounting screws. If still loose, consider using larger wall anchors or relocating the mailbox to a more secure wall section. |
| Lock is stiff or difficult to turn. | Lack of lubrication or debris in the lock mechanism. | Apply graphite lubricant or silicone spray to the keyhole and turn the key several times to distribute. |
| Top flap does not close smoothly or quietly. | Damping mechanism may be obstructed or damaged. | Check for any debris obstructing the hinge or damping mechanism. If damaged, contact customer support. |
