5. Setup
5.1. Charging the Speaker
Before first use, fully charge the speaker. Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the speaker's charging port and the other end to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. The charging indicator light will show the charging status and turn off when fully charged. A full charge provides approximately 6 hours of playback time.
5.2. Powering On/Off
- To power on: Press and hold the Power button (usually marked with a power symbol) for 2-3 seconds until you hear an audible prompt or see the indicator light turn on.
- To power off: Press and hold the Power button again for 2-3 seconds until you hear an audible prompt or the indicator light turns off.
5.3. Bluetooth Pairing
- Ensure the speaker is powered on and in Bluetooth pairing mode (the Bluetooth indicator light will typically flash).
- On your device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "HF16" from the list of found devices.
- Once paired, the speaker will indicate a successful connection, and the Bluetooth indicator light will become solid.
- The speaker will automatically reconnect to the last paired device when powered on, if the device's Bluetooth is active and within range.
5.4. TWS (True Wireless Stereo) Pairing
To achieve 360° stereo sound, you can pair two HF16 speakers together:
- Ensure both HF16 speakers are powered on and not connected to any other Bluetooth device.
- On one of the speakers (this will be the primary speaker), press and hold the TWS button (refer to speaker's button layout for exact location, usually a dedicated button or a multi-function button).
- The speakers will attempt to pair with each other. You will hear an audible confirmation once they are successfully paired.
- Now, connect your device to the primary speaker via Bluetooth as described in Section 5.3. Audio will play through both speakers in stereo.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Button Functions (General)
The HF16 speaker features intuitive button controls. While specific button layouts may vary slightly, common functions include:
- Power Button: Press and hold to power on/off.
- Play/Pause Button: Press once to play or pause music.
- Volume Up (+): Press to increase volume. Press and hold for next track.
- Volume Down (-): Press to decrease volume. Press and hold for previous track.
- Mode Button (M): Press to switch between Bluetooth, TF Card, and AUX modes.
- Call Button (Phone Icon): Press to answer/end calls. Press and hold to reject calls. Double-press to redial last number.
6.2. Playing Music
- Bluetooth Mode: After successful pairing, open your music app and start playback. Control volume and track selection via the speaker buttons or your device.
- TF Card Mode: Insert a TF (microSD) card with WAV, FLAC, APE, or MP3 audio files into the TF card slot. The speaker will automatically switch to TF card mode and begin playback. Use the volume/track buttons to navigate.
- AUX Mode: Connect an audio device using a 3.5mm AUX cable (not included) to the speaker's AUX input port. The speaker will automatically switch to AUX mode. Control playback from your connected device.
6.3. Hands-Free Calling
When connected via Bluetooth, the HF16 speaker allows for hands-free calling:
- Answer Call: Press the Call button once.
- End Call: Press the Call button once during a call.
- Reject Call: Press and hold the Call button for 2 seconds.
- Redial Last Number: Double-press the Call button.
