Setup

1. Install Battery: The CR2032 battery is typically pre-installed. If not, or if replacing, gently remove the back cover and insert the battery with the positive (+) side facing up. Ensure any plastic tab protecting the battery is removed.
2. Download Govee Home App: Download the latest version of the Govee Home app from your device's app store.
3. Add Device: Open the Govee Home app, tap the '+' icon in the top right corner, and search for "H5125" or "6 Button Sensor" to add your device. Follow the in-app instructions to pair the sensor via Bluetooth.
4. Configure Commands: Within the Govee Home app, navigate to the Automation page. Tap "Auto Run" and then the "+" button to create new functions. You can assign specific actions or scenes to each of the six buttons.
5. Distributed Gateway Integration: For enhanced range and functionality, ensure you have GoveeLife dual-mode devices (sold separately) that support both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. These devices act as distributed gateways, extending the sensor's effective range up to 55m/180ft.

Operating Instructions

One-Touch Control

The GoveeLife Smart Button Sensor allows for quick control of your GoveeLife intelligent devices. Each of the six buttons can be programmed to execute specific commands or activate pre-set scenes within the Govee Home app. This enables synchronous control of multiple devices in the same space with a single press.

Alternate Mode

Each button can be configured with an "Alternate Mode." In this mode, pressing the button will alternate between executing the tasks defined in the "command" and turning off the devices associated with that "command." For example, if a button is pressed to activate a specific lighting scene, the next press of the same button will turn off all lights in that scene.

Distributed Gateway Functionality

The GoveeLife 6 Button Sensor utilizes GoveeLife's Distributed Gateway technology. This means that certain GoveeLife dual-mode devices (which support both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, sold separately) can act as communication hubs, extending the effective range between the sensor and other smart devices. This creates a more robust and expansive smart home network, allowing the sensor to control devices up to 55m/180ft away.

The sensor supports up to 50 GoveeLife smart ecological devices, enhancing your smart home experience. It is important to note that this device does not support direct connection to Alexa or Google Assistant.

Maintenance

• Battery Replacement: The sensor uses one CR2032 battery. When the battery is low, the sensor's performance may be affected. To replace, gently open the back cover, remove the old battery, and insert a new CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the sensor. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Storage: Store the sensor in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.

Troubleshooting

• Device Not Responding: If the sensor does not respond when a button is pressed, it may be due to a weak signal. Ensure the sensor is within 55m/180ft of a GoveeLife dual-mode device acting as a distributed gateway. Position it closer within this range to secure reliable signal reception.
• Initial Power On Issue: If the device does not power on initially (by long-pressing button #1), ensure the plastic tab underneath the battery has been removed.
• Delayed Response: Some users may experience a slight delay in command execution. This can sometimes be improved by ensuring optimal signal strength and minimizing interference.
• Connectivity After Power Outage: If the remote loses function after a power or internet outage, ensure all GoveeLife devices, especially the distributed gateways, have reconnected to your Wi-Fi network and are controllable from the Govee Home app. You may need to re-verify the automation settings in the app.
