3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Clipper

1. Before first use, fully charge the clipper for approximately 3 hours.
2. Connect the power adapter to the charging port on the clipper.
3. Plug the adapter into a suitable power outlet.
4. The LED display will indicate the charging status and battery level. A full charge provides up to 240 minutes of cordless operation.

3.2 Attaching Guide Combs

1. Ensure the clipper is turned off before attaching or detaching guide combs.
2. Select the desired guide comb (1.5mm, 3mm, 4.5mm, 6mm, 9mm, or 12mm).
3. Align the comb with the clipper blade and push it firmly until it clicks into place.
4. To remove, gently pull the comb away from the blade.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off

• To turn on the clipper, slide the power switch located on the side of the unit.
• To turn off, slide the power switch back to its original position.

4.2 Adjusting Blade Length (Taper Lever)

The clipper features a metal taper lever on the side, allowing for fine adjustment of the cutting length without a guide comb. Move the lever up for a shorter cut and down for a longer cut. This is useful for blending and fading.

4.3 Hair Trimming Tips

• Ensure hair is clean and dry before trimming.
• Always start with a longer guide comb and gradually reduce the length if desired.
• Hold the clipper with the blade flat against the head and move it against the direction of hair growth.
• Use smooth, even strokes.
• Regularly clear hair from the blade during use to maintain optimal performance.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Blades

1. Turn off the clipper and unplug it from the power source.
2. Use the provided cleaning brush to remove loose hair from the blades.
3. For a more thorough cleaning, the blade set can be adjusted for zero-overlap, allowing easier access to clean between the blades.

5.2 Oiling the Blades

After each use, or as needed, apply a few drops of clipper oil (not included) to the blades. Turn the clipper on for a few seconds to distribute the oil evenly. This helps maintain blade sharpness and prevents rust.

5.3 Blade Replacement

The clipper comes with an extra ceramic moving blade. If the original blade becomes dull or damaged, it can be replaced. Refer to the manufacturer's instructions or a qualified technician for proper blade replacement procedures.

5.4 Storage

Store the clipper in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Ensure it is clean and oiled before storing for extended periods.

6. Troubleshooting

• Clipper not turning on: Ensure the clipper is fully charged or connected to the power adapter. Check the power switch position.
• Poor cutting performance: Clean the blades thoroughly to remove any trapped hair. Apply clipper oil. Ensure the blades are not dull or damaged; replace if necessary.
• Excessive noise or vibration: Clean and oil the blades. Ensure the blade assembly is correctly seated. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
• Battery not holding charge: Ensure the charging cable and adapter are working correctly. If the battery life has significantly decreased, it may be nearing the end of its lifespan.
