4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Headset

Before first use, fully charge your headset.

  1. Connect the USB charging cable to the headset's charging port.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
  3. The LED indicator will show charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately 2 hours.
  4. Once fully charged, the LED indicator will change (refer to specifications for exact behavior).

4.2 Pairing with a Device (Bluetooth 5.0)

Your headset can connect to devices via Bluetooth or the included USB dongle.

4.2.1 Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Ensure the headset is powered off.
  2. Press and hold the Multi-function button until the LED indicator flashes blue and red alternately, indicating pairing mode.
  3. On your device (smartphone, tablet, PC), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  4. Select "Earbay BT786-L" from the list of devices.
  5. Once connected, the LED indicator will flash blue slowly.

4.2.2 USB Dongle Pairing (for PC)

For optimal PC compatibility, use the provided USB dongle.

  1. Plug the USB dongle into an available USB port on your PC.
  2. Power on the headset. It will automatically attempt to connect to the dongle.
  3. The LED indicator on the dongle will turn solid blue once connected.
  4. If connection fails, ensure your PC's Bluetooth drivers are updated or try a different USB port.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Call Management

  • Answer Call: Press the Multi-function button once.
  • End Call: Press the Multi-function button once.
  • Reject Call: Press and hold the Multi-function button for 2 seconds.
  • Redial Last Number: Double-press the Multi-function button.
  • Mute/Unmute: Press the dedicated mute button on the microphone boom.

5.2 Music Playback

  • Play/Pause: Press the Multi-function button once.
  • Next Track: Press and hold the Volume Up button.
  • Previous Track: Press and hold the Volume Down button.

5.3 Voice Assistant

Activate your device's voice assistant (Siri, Google Assistant, etc.) by double-pressing the Multi-function button when not on a call.

  • Clean the headset regularly with a soft, dry cloth.
