WARNING: Airsoft guns are not toys. Misuse or careless use may cause serious injury or death. Always follow these safety guidelines:

  • Always wear ANSI Z87.1 rated eye protection specifically designed for airsoft when handling or operating this product.
  • Never point an airsoft gun at any person or animal, whether loaded or unloaded.
  • Treat every airsoft gun as if it were loaded.
  • Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire.
  • Always be aware of your target and what is beyond it.
  • Use only 6mm plastic BBs specifically designed for airsoft. Do not use metal BBs or other projectiles.
  • Store the airsoft gun unloaded, un-gassed, and in a secure location away from children and unauthorized users.
  • Do not modify the airsoft gun in any way that would increase its muzzle velocity or alter its appearance to resemble a real firearm.
  • Always transport the airsoft gun in a case or bag, unloaded, and with the orange tip visible (if applicable by local law).

  1. Locate the buttplate at the rear of the stock. The gas reservoir is hidden inside.
  2. Carefully remove the buttplate to access the gas reservoir.
  3. Using a suitable airsoft gas (e.g., Green Gas), insert the gas nozzle into the fill valve on the reservoir.
  4. Hold the gas can upside down and press firmly for 5-10 seconds until the reservoir is full. Do not overfill.
  5. Reinsert the filled gas reservoir into the stock and secure the buttplate.

  2. Use an airsoft speedloader to insert 6mm BBs into the shell. Each shell can hold approximately 30 BBs.
  3. Ensure BBs are loaded smoothly and do not force them.

4.3 Loading Shotgun Shells into the Shotgun

The M870 loads shells into the chamber.

  1. Ensure the safety is engaged.
  2. Pull the pump action fully rearward to open the chamber.
  3. Insert a loaded shotgun shell into the chamber.

  2. Disengage the safety.
  3. Aim at your target using the ghost ring iron sights.
  4. Squeeze the trigger to fire.
  5. After firing, pull the pump action fully rearward to eject the spent shell and prepare for the next shot.
  6. Push the pump action fully forward to chamber a new shell (if multiple shells are loaded) or to prepare for reloading.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and performance of your airsoft shotgun.

  • Cleaning: After each use, wipe down the exterior of the shotgun with a clean, dry cloth. Use a silicone-based lubricant on moving metal parts to prevent wear and corrosion.
  • Barrel Cleaning: Use a cleaning rod with a small piece of cloth and silicone oil to clean the inner barrel. This removes BB residue and ensures consistent accuracy.
  • Gas System Care: Periodically apply a small amount of silicone oil to the gas fill valve and output valve on the gas reservoir to maintain seals and prevent leaks. Store the gas reservoir with a small amount of gas inside to keep seals lubricated, but do not store the shotgun gassed up.
  • Storage: Store the airsoft shotgun in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure it is unloaded and degassed before storage.

7. Troubleshooting

Here are some common issues and their potential solutions:

Pump action is stiff or not cycling smoothlyLack of lubrication; dirt/debris.Clean and lubricate all moving parts of the pump action mechanism with silicone oil.
Shells not ejecting properlyPump action not pulled fully rearward; ejector mechanism dirty/damaged.Ensure full and forceful pump action; inspect and clean ejector mechanism.
