4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your RAYZEEK RZ036-5A motion sensor switch:

4.1. Pre-Installation Checklist

1. Turn Off Power: Locate the circuit breaker controlling the light fixture and turn off the power. Verify power is off using a non-contact voltage tester.
2. Identify Wires: Identify the Hot wire (L), Load wire (L1), and Neutral wire (N) from your ceiling electrical box. Wire colors may vary; use a voltage tester to confirm.

4.2. Mounting the Sensor

1. Positioning: Use the provided positioning sticker (optional) to mark the drill holes on the ceiling.
2. Drill Holes: Drill appropriate mounting holes and insert the wall anchors.
3. Remove Cover: Rotate the sensor's top cover counter-clockwise to remove it, exposing the wiring terminals and adjustment buttons.

4.3. Wiring Instructions

Connect the wires as follows:

• Connect the Hot wire (L) to the 'L' terminal on the sensor.
• Connect the Load wire (L1) to the 'L1' terminal on the sensor.
• Connect the Neutral wire (N) to the 'N' terminal on the sensor.

Note: Ensure all connections are secure. Refer to the wiring diagram in the installation video or included manual for visual guidance.

4.4. Final Mounting

1. Drive the mounting screws securely into the anchors, fastening the sensor base to the ceiling.
2. After wiring and initial testing (see Section 5), mount the cover back onto the sensor and rotate it clockwise to lock it firmly in place.

5. Operating Instructions and Adjustments

The sensor comes with optimal factory settings, but you can adjust them to suit your needs. To access the adjustment buttons, rotate the top cover counter-clockwise to remove it.

5.1. Initial Power-On

Upon first power-on, the motion sensor switch will take approximately 1 minute to initialize. During this time, the green indicator light will flash. The light will turn on when motion is detected and turn off if no motion is detected after the default time delay.

5.2. Adjusting Settings

The sensor features three adjustable settings: Light Sensor (LUX), Time Delay, and Sensitivity. Press the corresponding button to cycle through the available options.

• Light Sensor (LUX): Determines the ambient light level at which the sensor will activate.
  • Options: Off, 15 Lux, 25 Lux (Default), 35 Lux.
  • Off: The sensor will detect motion regardless of ambient light.
  • 15/25/35 Lux: The sensor will only activate if the ambient light is below the selected LUX value.
• Time Delay: Sets how long the light remains on after the last detected motion.
  • Options: 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute (Default), 3 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 30 minutes.
• Sensitivity: Adjusts the detection range of the sensor.
  • Options: Low Sensitivity, High Sensitivity.
  • High Sensitivity: Wider detection range (up to 12 meters).
  • Low Sensitivity: Reduced detection range.

Tip: After making adjustments, replace the cover by rotating it clockwise to lock it. Test the settings to ensure they meet your requirements.

• Cleaning: Periodically wipe the sensor lens with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust or debris that may obstruct detection. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Power Cycle: If the sensor is not responding as expected, try turning off the power at the circuit breaker for 30 seconds, then turning it back on. This can reset the device.
• Avoid Obstructions: Ensure there are no new obstructions (e.g., furniture, tall plants) blocking the sensor's field of view.
