5. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your Swann CoreCam Pro camera.
5.1 Connectivity Issues
- Camera Offline: Ensure the camera is charged and powered on. Check your Wi-Fi router and internet connection. The camera should be within the 65ft/20m wireless range of your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Weak Signal: Relocate the camera closer to your Wi-Fi router or consider using a Wi-Fi extender to improve signal strength.
5.2 Motion Detection Problems
- Too Many False Alarms: Adjust the motion sensitivity settings in the Swann Security App. Ensure the camera's field of view does not include areas with constant movement (e.g., busy roads, swaying trees) if not desired.
- No Motion Detected: Verify the camera's placement and ensure the PIR heat detection range (up to 26ft/8m) covers the desired area. Check battery level.
5.3 Video Quality Issues
- Blurry or Unclear Video: Clean the camera lens. Ensure adequate lighting for optimal color night vision.
- Poor Night Vision: Confirm the spotlight is functioning. Ensure there are no obstructions blocking the camera's view at night.
5.4 Battery Life Concerns
- Short Battery Life: Frequent motion detection events, live viewing, and two-way talk can reduce battery life. Adjust settings to optimize battery usage. Ensure the camera is fully charged. Performance may be affected by extreme cold.
