7. Troubleshooting
- No Power: Ensure the power cable is correctly connected to the terminal block and the power source. Check the PWR LED indicator. If it's off, verify the power supply.
- No Link/Activity: If the Link/Act LED is off for a connected device, check the network cable connection at both ends. Ensure the connected device is powered on and functioning correctly. Try a different cable or port.
- PoE Device Not Powering On: Check the PoE Indicator for the specific port. If it's off, ensure the connected device is a PoE-compatible device (IEEE 802.3af/at). Verify the device's power requirements do not exceed 30W per port or the total 96W budget. This switch does not support passive 24V PoE.
- Slow Network Speed: Ensure all connected devices and cables support Gigabit Ethernet (1000Mbps). Check for excessive network traffic or faulty cables.
- Intermittent Connection: Check all cable connections for looseness or damage. Ensure the switch is installed in a stable environment and not subject to extreme vibrations.
8. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the switch with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols. Ensure all ports are free from dust and debris.
- Cable Inspection: Regularly inspect all connected network and power cables for signs of wear, damage, or corrosion, especially in outdoor installations. Replace damaged cables immediately.
- Environmental Check: Ensure the switch's operating environment remains within the specified temperature range (up to 60°C). While weatherproof, avoid prolonged exposure to direct, intense sunlight or extreme weather conditions if possible, to extend product lifespan.
- Firmware Updates: Check the MokerLink official website periodically for any available firmware updates. Follow the instructions provided with the update carefully.
