Pressure Release:
After pressure cooking, there are two methods for releasing pressure:
- Natural Release: Allow the pressure to dissipate naturally. This is recommended for foods that foam or have large liquid volumes. The float valve will drop when pressure is fully released.
- Quick Release: Carefully turn the pressure release valve to the 'Venting' position. Keep hands and face away from the steam release. This method is faster but can cause some foods to foam.

Opening the Lid:
Only open the lid after all internal pressure has been released and the float valve has dropped. Press the red 'Push to Open' button, then turn the lid counter-clockwise until the arrow on the lid aligns with the 'Open' position on the base, and lift the lid.

Cleaning the Lid:
Remove the sealing ring and wash it, along with the lid, in warm, soapy water. Pay attention to cleaning the pressure release valve and float valve to ensure no food particles are lodged. Rinse and dry all parts thoroughly. Reinstall the sealing ring correctly before next use.
