3. Setup
3.1 Installation Guidelines
Proper installation is crucial for optimal performance. It is recommended to consult a qualified electrician for complex wiring. Ensure power is disconnected before beginning installation.
- Indoor Monitor Placement: Choose a central location within your home, such as a living room or hallway, where the monitor is easily accessible and visible. The monitor is designed for wall mounting.
- Outdoor Doorbell Camera Placement: Install the doorbell camera at a height that allows for clear viewing of visitors' faces, typically around 1.4 to 1.7 meters (4.5 to 5.5 feet) from the ground. Ensure it is protected from direct heavy rain if possible, although it is rainproof.
- Wiring Path: Plan the routing of the 4-wire cable between the outdoor unit and the indoor monitor, and between multiple indoor monitors if applicable. Minimize cable length for best signal quality.
3.2 Wiring Diagram
The TMEZON system uses a 4-wire connection for communication between the indoor monitor and outdoor doorbell, and between multiple monitors. The extension wire is not included, but 4-pin connectors are provided. You can use RVV4 (4 core wire), Cat5, or Cat6 wires for extension. The maximum recommended distance is 100-200 meters.
- Wire Connections: Connect the corresponding wires (Power, Video, Audio, Ground) from the outdoor unit to the indoor monitor. For multiple monitors, connect them in a daisy-chain or star configuration as per the system's requirements.
- Electronic Lock Integration: The doorbell can connect to all electronic locks. Ensure correct polarity and power supply for the lock.
- Additional Devices: Refer to the specific wiring instructions for connecting CCTV cameras, PIR alarms, or additional electronic locks.

6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your TMEZON intercom system, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No image on monitor when doorbell is pressed. | Loose wiring connection; power issue; faulty camera. | Check all 4-wire connections. Ensure power supply to both units. Contact support if units are confirmed faulty. |
| No audio during communication. | Microphone/speaker obstruction; wiring issue; volume too low. | Clean microphone/speaker areas. Check audio wire connection. Adjust volume settings on the monitor. |
| Cannot unlock electronic lock. | Incorrect lock wiring; insufficient power to lock; lock malfunction. | Verify lock wiring and power supply. Test the lock independently. |
| Motion detection not working. | Incorrect settings; environmental factors (e.g., strong light, moving objects). | Check motion detection sensitivity and area settings in the monitor menu. Adjust camera angle if necessary. |
| SD card not recording. | SD card full or corrupted; incorrect format; card not inserted properly. | Ensure SD card is inserted correctly. Format the SD card (backup data first). Try a different SD card. |
