1. Setup
1.1 Package Contents

1.2 Connection
- Handset Connection: Connect one end of the coiled handset cable to the port on the bottom of the phone base and the other end to the port on the side of the phone base.
- Telephone Line Connection: Plug one end of the telephone line cable (RJ11) into the designated port at the bottom of the phone. Connect the other end of the telephone line cable into your telephone wall jack.
- Power Source: The phone operates by connecting to the telephone wall jack. For full functionality, including screen illumination and Caller ID, insert 3 AA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment located at the rear of the device.
- Functionality Check: Lift the handset and listen for a dial tone to confirm successful connection.
Note: This phone is designed for use with telephone lines that support tone dialing (DTMF or multifrequency).

2. Operating Instructions
2.1 Making and Receiving Calls
- To Make a Call: Lift the handset, wait for the dial tone, and dial the desired number. Alternatively, use a direct memory button (M1 or M2) or select a contact from the phonebook.
- To Receive a Call: When the phone rings, lift the handset to answer.
- Hands-Free Function: Press the Hands-Free button to activate the speakerphone for calls.
2.2 Caller ID and Display
The backlit display shows incoming and outgoing call information. To enable Caller ID, you must activate this service with your telephone service provider. Ensure 3 AA batteries are installed for the display to function optimally.

2.3 Direct Memories (M1, M2) and Phonebook
- Direct Memories (M1, M2): The phone features two dedicated direct memory buttons (M1 and M2). These allow for quick dialing of frequently called numbers. Refer to the full manual for programming instructions.
- Phonebook: The phonebook can store up to 99 entries with names. Use the navigation buttons and MENU button to access and manage contacts.

2.4 Call Logs and Missed Call Indicator
- Missed Call Indicator: A red light on the phone will flash to indicate missed calls.
- Call Logs: The phone stores a list of received calls (up to 101 entries) and dialed calls (up to 16 entries). Access these logs via the display and navigation buttons to review call history.

3. Maintenance
3.1 Cleaning
Wipe the phone's surface with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish. Ensure no liquid enters the phone's openings.
3.2 Battery Replacement
If the display becomes dim or features requiring battery power (like Caller ID) stop working, replace the 3 AA batteries in the compartment at the rear of the phone. Ensure correct polarity when inserting new batteries.
4. Troubleshooting
- No Dial Tone:
- Check all cable connections (handset and telephone line) to ensure they are securely plugged in.
- Verify that your telephone line is active by testing with another phone, if available.
- Display Not Working/Dim:
- Ensure 3 AA batteries are correctly installed and are not depleted. Replace if necessary.
- Caller ID Not Showing:
- Confirm that Caller ID service is activated with your telephone service provider.
- Check battery installation, as Caller ID functionality often requires battery power.
- Cannot Hear or Be Heard Clearly:
- Adjust the volume using the volume buttons on the phone.
- Ensure the handset is properly connected.
- If using hands-free, ensure you are speaking clearly towards the phone's microphone.
