Setup and Initial Settings

Before using your watch, perform the following initial setup steps to ensure accurate timekeeping and functionality.

  1. Time Adjustment:
    • Pull the crown out to the second click position. The small second hand will stop.
    • Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands. Ensure the AM/PM is correctly set if your watch has a 24-hour indicator.
    • Push the crown back in to the normal position.
  2. Date Adjustment:
    • Pull the crown out to the first click position.
    • Rotate the crown to set the date. Avoid setting the date between 9:00 PM and 1:00 AM, as this may interfere with the automatic date change mechanism.
    • Push the crown back in to the normal position.
  3. Chronograph Hand Zero Position Correction:

    If the chronograph hands do not return to the 12 o'clock (zero) position when reset, follow these steps:

    • Pull the crown out to the second click position.
    • Press button A (top right) to adjust the 1/10-second chronograph hand.
    • Press button B (bottom right) to adjust the chronograph minute and second hands.
    • Once all chronograph hands are aligned to the 12 o'clock position, push the crown back in to the normal position.

Operating the Chronograph (Stopwatch)

The EFV-610D-5CV features a 1/10-second stopwatch with a measuring capacity of 59 minutes, 59.9 seconds.

  1. Measuring Elapsed Time:
    • Press button A to start the stopwatch.
    • Press button A again to stop the stopwatch.
    • Read the elapsed time from the chronograph hands.
    • Press button B to reset the chronograph hands to the zero position.
  2. Split Time Measurement:
    • Press button A to start the stopwatch.
    • Press button B to measure a split time. The chronograph hands will stop to indicate the split time.
    • Press button B again to release the split time and resume elapsed time measurement.
    • Press button A to stop the stopwatch.
    • Press button B to reset the chronograph hands to the zero position.
