Water Resistance Guidelines
Your Casio Edifice EFV-610D-5CV watch is rated for 100M (10 ATM) water resistance. This means it is suitable for everyday use, showering, swimming, and snorkeling. However, please observe the following precautions:
- Do not operate the crown or buttons while the watch is wet or submerged in water.
- Avoid exposing the watch to hot water, such as in hot showers, saunas, or hot tubs, as this can compromise the water seals.
- After exposure to saltwater, rinse the watch thoroughly with fresh water and wipe it dry.
- Water resistance is not a permanent condition and may be affected by wear and tear or accidental impact. Have your watch inspected periodically by an authorized service center.
Battery Information
The Casio Edifice EFV-610D-5CV uses an SR920SW style battery, which provides an approximate battery life of 2 years under normal usage conditions. When the battery runs low, the watch may exhibit irregular movement or stop entirely. Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and functionality.
Maintenance and Care
Proper care will help maintain the appearance and longevity of your watch.
- Cleaning: Wipe the watch case and band with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture. For stainless steel bands, a soft brush with mild soapy water can be used, followed by thorough rinsing and drying.
- Temperature: Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures (below 14°F / -10°C or above 140°F / 60°C) or sudden temperature changes.
- Magnetic Fields: Keep the watch away from strong magnetic fields, as they can affect timekeeping accuracy.
- Shocks: While durable, avoid strong impacts or dropping the watch.
- Chemicals: Avoid contact with gasoline, cleaning solvents, aerosol sprays, adhesives, paints, etc., as they can damage the watch's seals, case, and band.
