Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your toaster oven.
Before Cleaning
Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning any part of the oven.
Cleaning the Interior
Wipe the interior walls with a damp cloth and a mild, non-abrasive detergent. For stubborn stains, a paste of baking soda and water can be used. Avoid using steel wool or abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the non-stick coating (if applicable) or stainless steel finish. The removable crumb tray should be emptied and washed regularly.
Cleaning Accessories
Wash the wire grill, bake pan, and air frying mesh basket in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before storing or reusing. These accessories may also be dishwasher safe; refer to specific accessory care instructions if provided.
Cleaning the Exterior
Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. For stainless steel, use a stainless steel cleaner for best results. Do not use abrasive pads or cleaners that could scratch the surface.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your toaster oven, please consult the following common problems and solutions:
- Appliance does not turn on: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a functional electrical outlet. Check your household circuit breaker.
- Food not cooking evenly: Verify that the correct rack position is being used for the selected function. Ensure the oven is preheated properly. For convection functions, confirm the fan is not obstructed.
- Excessive smoke during cooking: This may be due to food residue or grease buildup. Allow the oven to cool and clean the interior, especially the crumb tray and heating elements.
- Digital display not responding: Unplug the unit for a few minutes, then plug it back in to reset the controls. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
- Loud beeping with every setting change: This is a normal operational sound for the digital controls. There is no option to disable this alert.
