  3. Link Other Alarms: Within 60 seconds, press the test/interconnect button on each additional alarm you want to link. The LED on these alarms should also flash rapidly, then briefly illuminate steadily to confirm successful linking.
  4. Test Interconnection: After linking all units, press the test button on any one alarm. All interconnected alarms should sound simultaneously. If not, repeat the linking process.

6. Operating Instructions

Understanding the alarm's indicators and functions is essential for effective use.

  • Normal Operation: The LED indicator will flash briefly every 40-60 seconds, indicating the alarm is functioning correctly.
  • Alarm Condition: When smoke is detected, the alarm will emit a loud, pulsating siren, and the LED will flash rapidly. If interconnected, all linked alarms will also sound.
  • Test Function: Press and hold the test button for a few seconds. The alarm will sound briefly, confirming its operational status. Perform this test weekly.
  • Silence Function: In case of a nuisance alarm (e.g., from cooking fumes), press the test/silence button. This will temporarily silence the alarm for approximately 9 minutes. The alarm will automatically reset after this period if smoke levels have cleared. If smoke is still present, the alarm will reactivate.

  • Cleaning: Dust and debris can affect the alarm's performance. Clean the smoke alarm at least once a month by gently vacuuming the exterior casing and air vents using a soft brush attachment. Do not use water or cleaning solvents.
