4.1 Starting the Engine (Smart Starting Technology)

1. Place the tool on a flat, stable surface.
2. Ensure the fuel tank is filled with the correct fuel mixture.
3. Set the ON/OFF switch to the 'ON' position.
4. Engage the choke (if the engine is cold).
5. Press the primer bulb several times until fuel is visible.

• Position yourself safely, away from the falling path of branches.
• Make cuts in a controlled manner, allowing the chain to do the work. Avoid forcing the tool.
• Be aware of kickback and use the inertia-type safety chain brake if it occurs.

• Hold the tool with both hands, maintaining balance.
• Use a sweeping motion to trim hedges.
