3. Installation Guide

Follow these steps to properly install the LED lighting system on your RC model.

3.1 Component Identification

The kit consists of a central control box and eight individual LED lights pre-wired with color-coded connectors. The control box has a power input connector and multiple output ports for the LED lights.

3.2 Wiring Instructions

  1. Plan Placement: Determine the optimal locations for each of the 8 LED lights on your RC aircraft or helicopter. Refer to standard aircraft lighting configurations:
    • 2 white lights for landing gear (typically on the underside or landing struts).
    • 1 red light for the left wingtip.
    • 1 green light for the right wingtip.
    • 1 red anti-collision light (often on top or bottom fuselage).
    • 3 flashing white lights (position as desired for visibility, e.g., tail, fuselage).
  2. Mount LEDs: Securely attach each LED light to its designated position using the provided adhesive tape or other suitable mounting methods. Ensure the wires are routed neatly and do not interfere with moving parts.

  5. Secure Control Box: Mount the control box in a secure location within your RC model, away from heat sources or excessive vibration, using adhesive tape or zip ties.
  6. Test System: Before flight, power on your RC model and transmitter. Verify that all LED lights illuminate and function correctly according to their type (steady, flashing).

4. Operating Instructions

The Akozon LED Lighting System offers flexible control options.

4.1 Control Modes

  • Manual Mode: If connected directly to a power source or a simple switch, the lights will activate upon power-up.
  • Remote Control Mode: When connected to an auxiliary channel on your RC receiver, the lights can be switched on/off or have their modes changed (if applicable) via a switch or knob on your RC transmitter. Consult your transmitter's manual for channel assignment and configuration.

4.2 Low Voltage Detection

The system includes a low voltage detection feature to help prevent unexpected power loss during flight. If the receiver voltage drops below 4.9V, all lights will begin to flash rapidly. This serves as a visual warning to land your RC model safely.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Gently wipe the LED lenses and control box with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Wiring Inspection: Periodically check all wiring connections for any signs of wear, fraying, or loose connections. Secure any loose wires.
  • Environmental Protection: While designed for outdoor use, avoid prolonged exposure to extreme moisture or direct impact.

6. Troubleshooting
