General Assembly Steps:

1. Unpack all components and lay them out on a clean, soft surface to prevent scratches.
2. Attach the support legs to the main headboard panel using the provided hardware. Ensure they are securely fastened.
3. Position the headboard against your bed frame or wall.
4. Adjust the height of the headboard to your desired level.
5. Secure the headboard to your bed frame or wall using the appropriate mounting hardware.
6. Install the LED strips as described in the 'Operating the LED Lights' section.

5. Operating the LED Lights

Your headboard comes with two flexible LED strips to enhance your bedroom ambiance.

Installation and Connection:

1. Carefully unroll the LED strips.
2. Determine the desired placement for the LED strips, typically along the back or top edge of the headboard.
3. Peel off the adhesive backing and firmly press the LED strip onto the clean, dry surface of the headboard.
4. Connect the USB connector of each LED strip to a 5V USB power source (e.g., a USB wall adapter, power bank, or compatible USB port on a device). Note: A 5V power source is not included.

Cutting the LED Strip:

If you need to adjust the length of the LED strip, you can cut it at specific points.

• Look for the scissor symbol along the LED strip. These are the only safe points to cut the strip.
• Use sharp scissors to make a clean cut at the designated mark.
• Important: Only the section marked with the scissor symbol can be cut. Only the part connected to the USB will continue to function as before.

6. Care and Maintenance

Proper care will ensure the longevity and appearance of your headboard.

Velvet Upholstery Care:

• Regular Cleaning: Gently vacuum the velvet upholstery using a soft brush attachment to remove dust and debris.
• Spot Cleaning: For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Do not rub, as this can damage the pile. For stubborn stains, use a mild upholstery cleaner, testing on an inconspicuous area first.
• Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause fading.
• Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use abrasive cleaners or strong chemical solvents, as these can damage the velvet.

LED Light Care:

• Wipe the LED strips with a soft, dry cloth.
• Do not use liquid cleaners directly on the LED components.
• Ensure the USB connection remains dry and free from dust.

LED Lights Not Working:

• Check Power Source: Ensure the USB connector is securely plugged into a functional 5V USB power source. Try a different USB port or adapter.
• Inspect Connections: Verify that the LED strip is properly connected to its USB cable.
• Check for Damage: Examine the LED strip for any visible damage or breaks, especially if it has been cut. Remember, only sections with the scissor symbol can be cut.
• Power Cycle: Disconnect and reconnect the USB power source.
