4. Setup
4.1 Initial Cleaning
Before first use, wipe all removable parts with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth.
4.2 Filling the Water Tank
- Remove the water tank from the back of the machine.
- Fill the tank with fresh, cold water up to the MAX line.
- Place the water tank back onto the machine, ensuring it is securely seated.
4.3 First Use / Priming
Before brewing coffee for the first time, or if the machine has not been used for a long period, prime the system:
- Ensure the water tank is filled.
- Place a cup under the coffee outlet.
- Turn on the machine. Once the indicator lights stop flashing, press the single shot button to dispense water. Let it run for about 30 seconds.
- Turn the steam knob to release steam for 15-20 seconds to prime the steam wand.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Making Espresso
- Prepare the Portafilter: Insert the desired filter basket (single or double shot) into the portafilter.
- Add Ground Coffee: Fill the filter basket with freshly ground espresso coffee. Use the coffee scoop for accurate measurement.
- Tamp the Coffee: Use the tamper end of the coffee scoop to firmly press the coffee grounds. Ensure an even and level surface.
- Attach Portafilter: Insert the portafilter into the group head of the machine and turn it to the right until it is securely locked.
- Place Cup(s): Position your espresso cup(s) on the drip tray directly under the portafilter spouts.
- Brew Espresso: Once the machine is preheated (indicator lights are solid), press the single or double shot button. The machine will automatically dispense the correct amount of espresso.

5.2 Using the Steam Wand (Milk Frothing)
- Prepare Milk: Fill a stainless steel frothing pitcher with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy).
- Activate Steam: Press the steam button. Wait for the steam indicator light to become solid, indicating the machine has reached the correct temperature.
- Purge Steam Wand: Briefly turn the steam knob to release any condensed water from the wand. Turn it off.
- Froth Milk: Immerse the steam wand tip just below the surface of the milk. Slowly turn the steam knob to release steam. Move the pitcher up and down to create foam.
- Stop Steaming: Once the milk reaches the desired temperature and texture, turn off the steam knob and remove the pitcher.

5.3 Using Nespresso Capsules
This machine is compatible with Nespresso capsules. Follow these steps:
- Insert Capsule Adapter: Place the Nespresso capsule adapter into the portafilter.
- Insert Capsule: Open the adapter lid, insert a Nespresso capsule, and close the lid firmly.
- Attach Portafilter: Securely attach the portafilter with the capsule adapter to the group head.
- Brew Coffee: Place a cup under the spout and press the single shot button to brew.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning
6.1 Daily Cleaning
- Drip Tray: Empty and clean the drip tray regularly. It is removable for easy cleaning.
- Steam Wand: After each use, wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to remove any milk residue. Briefly purge steam to clear the internal tube.
- Portafilter & Filter Baskets: Rinse the portafilter and filter baskets with warm water after each use.
