4. Installation

This lock is designed for easy installation on most US/CA standard doors. A screwdriver is typically the only tool required. Ensure your door meets the following specifications:

  • Backset: 2-3/8" (60mm) or 2-3/4" (70mm)
  • Hole Diameter: 2-1/8" (54mm) for the main bore, 1" (25mm) for the latch bore
  • Door Thickness: 1-1/2" to 1-7/8" (38.09mm to 47.75mm)

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Unlocking Methods

The UYF Keyless Entry Door Lock offers three primary methods for unlocking:

  • Smart IC Cards: Utilize the provided IC cards for rapid, 0.01s swipe access.
  • Secure Passcode: Enter your personalized 4-9 digit passcode on the digital touchscreen keypad.
  • Mechanical Keys: Use the physical keys for emergency access or as an alternative unlocking method.

5.2 Passcode Management

The lock supports setting and storing up to 250 individual 4-9 digit passcodes. These can be managed and deleted as needed. The voice menu navigation feature assists users through the programming process.

5.3 Anti-Peep Passcode

To enhance security and prevent others from guessing your passcode, you can enter random digits before or after your actual passcode. The lock will still recognize the correct sequence within the longer string of numbers.

5.4 Automatic Locking and One-Touch Locking

  • Automatic Lock: The lock can be configured to automatically lock after a set duration, ranging from 5 to 900 seconds. This feature ensures the door is secured even if you forget to lock it manually.
  • One-Touch Lock: To manually lock the door from the outside, simply tap the # key for 2 seconds.
  • Anti-Lock Mode: To activate anti-lock mode when the deadbolt is locked, press and hold the anti-lock button for 3 seconds. This prevents unlocking from the outside.

5.5 Temporary Open Visitor Pattern

The lock supports a temporary open visitor pattern, allowing you to grant temporary access to guests or service personnel. Specific instructions for setting up this pattern are available in the full user manual.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Battery Life and Emergency Charging

The lock is designed for long battery life and standby time. A low battery indicator will alert you when the batteries need replacement. In case of complete battery depletion, the lock features a Type-C USB port for emergency power, allowing you to temporarily power the lock and gain entry.

6.2 Cleaning

Clean the lock's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish and electronic components. Ensure no liquid enters the keypad or keyhole.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your UYF Keyless Entry Door Lock, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Lock does not respond to keypad entry:
    • Check battery level. Replace batteries if low or depleted.
    • Ensure the keypad is clean and free from debris.
    • Try using the mechanical key for access.
  • Deadbolt does not engage/disengage:
    • Verify that the door is properly aligned and not binding.
    • Check for any obstructions in the door frame or strike plate.
    • Ensure batteries are fully charged.
  • IC Card not recognized:
    • Ensure the IC card is correctly registered with the lock.
    • Swipe the card smoothly and directly over the sensor.
  • Voice menu not audible:
