Thank you for choosing HUDORA Mia/Leon 2.0 Adjustable Inline Skates. These skates are designed for recreational use by children, teenagers, and adults. For your safety and to ensure optimal performance, please read this manual carefully before use. Keep this manual for future reference.
Safety Guidelines
- Always wear appropriate protective gear, including a helmet, wrist guards, elbow pads, and knee pads, when using inline skates.
- Ensure all buckles, straps, and laces are securely fastened before skating.
- Check wheels and brakes for wear and tear before each use. Replace worn parts immediately.
- Skate in safe, designated areas away from traffic, pedestrians, and uneven surfaces.
- Avoid skating in wet conditions, on sand, gravel, or other slippery surfaces.
- Children should always be supervised by an adult while skating.
- The skates are Intertek/GS certified, indicating they meet safety standards.

Setup and Adjustment
Adjusting Skate Size
The HUDORA Mia/Leon 2.0 skates feature an intelligent micro-adjustment system, allowing them to be adjusted across up to 4 shoe sizes. This ensures a comfortable and secure fit as the user grows or for sharing among users with different foot sizes.
- Locate the adjustment mechanism, typically a lever or button, at the heel of the skate.
- Press or release the mechanism to unlock the sizing adjustment.
- Slide the front part of the skate forward or backward to select the desired size. The size markings are usually visible on the side of the skate.
- Once the correct size is selected, secure the adjustment mechanism to lock the skate firmly in place.
Insole Insertion for Optimal Comfort
Three additional insoles are included to customize the fit and provide optimal padding. These insoles help the skates adapt perfectly to your foot without causing excessive pressure points.
- Remove the existing insole from the skate.
- Experiment with the additional insoles to find the combination that provides the most comfortable and snug fit for your foot.
- Insert the chosen insole(s) into the skate, ensuring they lie flat and do not wrinkle.

Putting on the Skates
The skates are designed for quick and easy donning with a combination of a quick lacing system, Power Strap, and Press-Lock buckle.
- Loosen the quick lacing system, Power Strap, and Press-Lock buckle.
- Use the donning aid (loop at the back of the cuff) to pull the skate onto your foot.
- Tighten the quick lacing system evenly for a snug fit around the foot.
- Secure the Power Strap across the instep.
- Fasten the Press-Lock buckle around the ankle, ensuring it is tight but comfortable, providing ankle support.

Operating the Skates
Basic Skating
The HUDORA Mia/Leon 2.0 skates are equipped with ABEC 5 ball bearings and lightweight wheels for a smooth and efficient skating experience. For beginners, it is recommended to practice in a controlled environment with a smooth, flat surface.
- Maintain a slightly bent knee posture and lean slightly forward.
- Push off with one foot at an angle, gliding on the other. Alternate feet to propel yourself forward.
- Keep your arms out for balance.
Braking
The skates are equipped with a heel brake for stopping. To use the heel brake:
- Shift your weight to the skate without the brake.
- Extend the braking foot forward, lifting the toe so that the heel brake makes contact with the ground.
- Apply gentle, consistent pressure to the brake until you come to a stop.

Maintenance
Cleaning
- Wipe the exterior of the skates with a damp cloth after each use to remove dirt and dust.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as they may damage the materials.
- Allow skates to air dry completely before storage.
Wheel and Bearing Care
- Regularly check the wheels for wear and tear. Rotate wheels periodically to ensure even wear and extend their lifespan.
- Inspect the ABEC 5 bearings for smooth rotation. If bearings become noisy or stiff, they may need cleaning or replacement.
- Avoid exposing bearings to water or excessive moisture, as this can cause rust and reduce performance.
Storage
- Store skates in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Keep skates in their original packaging or a protective bag to prevent dust accumulation and damage.
Troubleshooting
- Wheels not spinning freely: Check for debris lodged in the bearings or between the wheel and frame. Clean or replace bearings if necessary. Ensure axle bolts are not overtightened.
- Skate feels loose or unstable: Re-check all buckles, straps, and laces to ensure they are securely fastened. Verify that the size adjustment mechanism is locked. Ensure insoles are correctly placed.
- Discomfort during skating: Adjust the tightness of the straps and laces. Ensure the correct insoles are used for your foot shape. Break in new skates gradually.
- Brake not effective: Inspect the heel brake pad for wear. If worn down, it needs to be replaced. Ensure the brake is properly positioned.
