3.2 Adding Engine Oil

The generator is shipped without engine oil. It is critical to add the correct type and amount of oil before starting.

  1. Locate the oil fill cap/dipstick.
  2. Add recommended engine oil (refer to specifications for type and capacity) until it reaches the upper mark on the dipstick. Do not overfill.
  3. Securely replace the oil fill cap.

3.3 Adding Fuel

The EGH-5500 supports gasoline, LPG, and CNG. Choose one fuel type for operation.

3.3.1 Gasoline

  1. Ensure the engine is off and cool.
  2. Open the fuel tank cap.
  3. Carefully pour fresh, unleaded gasoline into the fuel tank. Do not fill above the maximum level indicator.
  4. Securely close the fuel tank cap.

3.3.2 LPG/CNG

  1. Ensure the engine is off and cool.
  2. Connect the LPG/CNG cylinder to the generator's gas inlet using the appropriate hose and regulator (not included).
