Operating Instructions
Once the pump is securely connected and powered, ensure your discharge hose is directed to an appropriate waste disposal site (e.g., septic system). Open the black water tank valve first. Activate the pump using the inline switch. The pump will begin to macerate and discharge the waste. The transparent section allows you to monitor the flow. After the black tank is empty, close its valve and open the gray water tank valve to rinse the system. It is recommended not to run the pump for more than 30 seconds at a time without liquid to prevent thermal overload. This pump is designed for black and gray water only; do not use it for flammable liquids.

Maintenance
The Ristow Macerator Pump is designed for easy maintenance. After each use, utilize the fresh water rinse port to flush the pump and hoses thoroughly. This helps prevent clogs and keeps the system clean. Ensure all connections are tight and free of leaks before and after use. Store the pump and accessories in the provided carrying pouch in a dry, protected area when not in use.

Troubleshooting
- Pump Stops During Operation: The motor has an over thermal protection function. If the pump overheats, it will automatically shut off. Allow it to cool down before resuming operation.
- Pump Not Operating: Check the power connections to ensure they are secure. Verify the 20-amp fuse located within the cigarette lighter plug (if used) is intact.
- Reduced Flow/Clogging: Ensure no hard objects, sanitary napkins, or rags are introduced into the waste tanks, as these are not recommended for the macerator. Regular flushing helps prevent buildup.
- Run Dry Protection: Avoid running the pump dry for extended periods (more than 30 seconds) as this can damage the pump.
